Wow! Super impressed by the Gripen...appears to maintain very good energy/speed throughout its flight envelope. The "E" model looks to have one of the best electronics suites I've seen on a fighter. This plane deserves more accolades...
Saw the F-35 in Australia very disappointing Slow turns very noisy had to go out of sight then come back to do one manoeuvre then go back and do the same again
Serge Dassault famously said that if an aeroplane looks right, it will fly right. Dassault aeroplanes are among the most aesthetically pleasing of them all and they fly right. The J-39 is right up there with the F1 and the Rafale!
The REAL fighter jet that Russia should be scared of! Time after time, the Gripen is faster, more nimble, able to carry more ordinance, and out perform the Russian , Chinese and American jets in head to head trials. And has been found to be more "stealthy" than the f22 raptor and f35jsf over mach 1. And for a lot less to! Again Saab matches the best in the world, constantly punching above its weight.
btw i guess the typedecission here in CH gave me another PTSD, it is so freakin' painfull watching this bird knowing we'll end up without airforce if the VBS doesn't wake up soon... :-/ (and nope - not going to change my mind: better no plane than the F-35)

You mean the sitting duck manoeuvres and the Swedish cobra or falling leaf all slow speed, and useless in real fight. Man these are fighter killing machines no acrobat crafts. I say four JAS 39E in teamwork SU´s will really do the impossible (Vanish by themselves before the team JAS spots them).
