Thanks for letting me know. I’m glad you felt how I felt when I went skiing and when I made this video. There is a SKI playlist I made where all my ski videos go under if you want to check out my other ones and more coming as I’m skiing as I reply to you and got some more good footage
It was that trip. I haven’t been skiing for a few years and I didn’t have the best skis for that snow mostly ungroomed, so had to work a bit harder that time.
I really wish I could help you but was my first time at Falls that year and was exploring a bunch of runs. It was of a main run, just happened to see the path and a sign that said “danger”. I’m going back there this season I have a trip booked towards the end of the season, I can let you know but you’ll probably make it there before me.. Either way enjoy skiing this season, the snow seems to be already there. Can’t wait!
At 7:16 you see a chairlift going over perpendicularly to the run. To me it looks like the green run under the Eagle Express lift which connects the Y's and Expressway to broadway
@@aussiegeekrider i found the sd card, bad news is that the recording is completly butchered. I have an image of the apartment below where you are from 2017- file:///C:/Users/Adampc/Videos/Falls%20Ck/IMG_2735.JPG
@@riddshotsyoungerbrother that’s all good, no stress. That image won’t work as RU-vid won’t let you upload pictures and the link seems to be to the photo that sits on your C:\ drive so won’t be available outside your home. But all good !
I tried a bit of everything. The part where you can just see the top of my skies and the path but not much in front of me, that was the helmet mount. Most of it where you can see in front quite a bit and the arms right and left, that’s the chesty mount. Then I tried a 3 way monopod by GoPro for full body shot, that worked better than the gimbal which I’ve found hard to get it to point your way while skiing… Outcome: next time I’m only going to use the chesty, best footage IMO, I might try the chesty on my back next time and see what it looks like and combine the footage. Maybe even wear both chesties and use my 2 cameras … a bit hard as you need to remember not to lean back in the chairlift… maybe as a trial for a lap but not much more than that..
Dashony AUS thanks for your detailed reply. We are going to the snow with my kids and trying to figure out the best mount for me. Check out the stuntman 360 you can wear it in different positions including chest and shoulder so it can face backwards as well. I’m leaning towards getting that so I can get good shots of my kids skiing
@@gurya thanks, I’ll check it out. My plan is to get the 360 one by GoPro by the time I go skiing again and have it on my helmet or on top on my ski pole. I know it’s more editing involved but that’s ok.
