Let me tell you my friend,......SPOT ON assessment of 1 my favorite beers of all time ! When I die and go to heaven (hopefully,lol)......they will be serving Celebrator Dopplebock up there when I arrive.......! Thanks for the brilliant and TRUE review given here ! Well done mate!😄
I don;t know why but I still haven't picked this one up yet. I really do need to correct that. Thanks for a great review Simon. I think this coming weekend it's finally time for me to knock this one of my list.
It is all that! I really love my dopplebock and that one, more black and roasted, and Andechts, more light coloured and caramely, are my favourites. Cheers!
Spot on review Simon, I had one of these when I was working in Munchen for a couple of days - it was beautiful. BTW - thought I was the only one who owned that shirt! 🍻
Hey man thank you for this video. I've seen this in a stop out of town but was really skeptical but now I know it's good! Haha. Have a good one man thanks so much. Prost!
'In the USA we don't get the reused bottles like that. I've been a random fan of this brewery and Celebrator specifically. I find this brew exceptional and wonderful to enjoy with a nice mild cigar on a lazy day. Twp of these and the expert choice of cigar make for a beautiful interlude to the best nap of your life... not something to chug down 6-8 of but 1-2 savored is way better anyway.
Hi Mr Real Ale Craft Beer As you're Welsh (I think that's a Cardiff or Barry accent I detect) do you know of anywhere local that sells this or similar? Would love to get my hands on more German helles, dunkels and bocks, doppelbocks etc. Love German beer but can only find one store that doesn't have a great selection outside of weissbiers. Also, isn't a dopplebock a lager? Cheers, I666
I fell in love with Weizenbock from Ayinger so when I found an lcbo that still had this in stock I drove an hour to get it. Will be trying it tonight. Can't wait. Unfortunately those are the only two beers I'll probably ever have from this company living in Ontario
93siguy As an Albertan, I was somewhat shocked at the level of government involvement in Ontario when it comes to alcohol. I used to love attending concerts in Montreal because they have a more grown-up policy selling it in stores. With Alberta, you are almost guaranteed to find a 2am store, and because of the privatization you'll probably find a few decent Craft beers even in the small corner liquor stores.
Watching this again (thanks RU-vid algorithms) and I caught you!!!! LAMO! Youi called it a German ALE? But you know it a Lager. hahahaha. Just fukin with ya.... The Doppelbock is a strong, rich, and very malty German lager.
