looks good place to walk the riverwalk of the Oregon, Oregon is a really good state to visit. I have a plan to visit there maybe next year. thanks for sharing it.
Hi. Thank you for these videos. I live in England and have always had a hankering for the PNW, Astoria in particular. I’m hoping to visit sometime in the next couple of years and do the coastline. I love walking and often visit London (which is only 90 minutes away from me on the train) and spend hours just walking around. Keep up with the videos as I love hearing your narration. 👌👏
Hi Sally, That sounds like an amazing trip. The Oregon coast, in particular, has tons of state parks along the coast with wonderful peaceful walks and trails through giant trees. Hope you get to make the trip soon. We also love the UK and the wonderful walking culture you have there. -H
I used to live in Portland (now retired in Phoenix) and my son was the general manager of the Astoria golf club for many years so I have spent lots of time in Astoria. It is such a charming little town. Forgive me if you mentioned this because I haven’t completed the video but the movies Goonies, Free Willy and Kindergarten Cop were filmed in Astoria. I will be there later this month and can’t wait for some Oregon seafood. Thanks for a fun video. 😀
I think i missed Free Willy but the others I mentioned. I'd love to go back and spend more time there, maybe even in winter when the storms roll in. Thanks for the comment and for watching. Keep on steppin' -H
Thank you so much for this video it was so great I seen the one that you had that you walked through the town and then the Riverwalk I'm looking to relocate from Michigan to Astoria Oregon is a perfect town for me it's simply beautiful thanks again looking forward to seeing some of your other videos
Haven't been by for a while, so thought I'd pop by to see your latest. Glad I did it was enjoyable as always. I love these river walks. All the best to you chum.
Wow! A cool video! I was in Hillsboro, Oregon from 2008-10 and I visited this beautiful small town! You brought back my memories! Thanks 😊. Subbed for the future adventures 😊👍
This was so fun, Henry!! It was quite an adventure! I thought u planned this near hour walk, but I think we went on an exploration up the hill! I was beginning to get anxious looking for a street or pathway leading us back down to the town, but instead we kept going up n sideways instead of going back down. 🤣. Thank u for the vid, today was my fat burn (did my cardio n HIIT yesterday), so, no, I didn’t jack up my incline. I’m sure ur calves n quads appreciated the workout. Again, thank u. Oh! Does Oregon still have the law that u can’t pump ur own gas? The last we went there in 2017, we couldn’t pump our own gas.... which was a pleasant change! Take care, stay safe n aloha! 🌺
The ferry boat at 12:00 was Tourist #2, which was used to cross the river before the bridge opened. It was brought back to Astoria in hopes of restoring it for display, but it recently sank at its dock. It was destroyed to remove it. Workers’ Tavern dates from the 1920s. That was the era of socialists organizing workers into unions. The area is called Uniontown.

Hey there, thanks for that feedback. Unfortunately, that's the deal on my channel. Lots of other great quiet channels out there though. Best of luck. -H
