City Walks makes 4K Virtual Walking Tours for treadmill workouts. These walks make your workout go faster. I walk and have a friendly chat with you as we explore various places looking for interesting bits to mention.
In 2016, we sold our house in Montana and traveled Europe for a year. I used to love, on earlier solo travels, just walking and exploring cities. I started slow and my first walk wasn't until early 2017 in Edinburgh. I filmed when I could or when the spirit moved me and the channel grew slowly. In 2019, I got motivated to film more and film regularly. And it worked. The channel sort of took off I could afford to dedicate more time and resources to the channel. One of my favorite things about the channel has been getting comments (I read them all) from people in lock-down that get a bit of joy and solace from watching these simple virtual walking tours of cities and trails.

Beautiful city, enjoyed my treadmill walk around it. I don’t understand why your viewership is not larger Henry, you definitely deserve it. Thanks again
Great to see you back with more of France and the city of Besancon which is another beautiful part of France with all of the the nice buildings and churches, as well as the many businesses such as places to eat I'm really enjoying your tour of this area of France it is really nice until next time Thank You Henry.🇺🇲🤠🇫🇷
I like to watch these videos while I'm on my exercise bike. It's nice to see other parts of the world. I'm British and I bet not many British have even heard of Casper. Thanks for your video.
Thanks so much for giving me that feedback about how you use these. Glad you enjoyed it. Casper is definitely off the main list of most visited places all the best - H.
Thanks for the stroll, Henry. I appreciate your occasional "perambulation pontifications!" Thanks for wanting to promote a better world and doing so in a subtle way.
You are very welcome and I’m glad they aren’t too much. Definitely want to to promote more kindness and goodness in the world rather than the opposite. Keep on steppin’ - H.
Hi Jeanette, thank you so much for those kind words and I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I would love so much to get back there and film some more walks. Such a beautiful country. - H.
I think I would choose Wengen. It is much quieter and calmer than a lotLauterbrunnen but only a short train ride away. Also, the views are incredible from up there. You cannot drive your car up there though so keep that in mind. Although you can go up and over to get to Grindelwald, you basically go through interlaken to get anywhere else in the region. I envy you getting to go there. We spent a month and it was absolutely magical. -H
Ha ha ha ha. No, not even close. We have almost no humidity out here most of the time and it is much better than back east and that regards. Especially if you are in the shade. However, being in the direct sun is worse in someways because we have so much less atmosphere to protect us up here.- H
I'm going to north dakota state university as an international student. Is job opportunity good in fargo city? How much can i make per month in fargo and also tell me is this city safe?
It really is! So glad you enjoyed it. It’s a stunning walk along those cliffs. You might check out the other Scotland walks, especially up the Cullen loop -H
That show is actually primarily filmed over near Lolo. We get a fair number of western movies filmed down in the valley though at a place called Yellowstone film Ranch. - H.
Thanks Henry for helping make treadmill walking more interesting. You definitely approach your travel episodes with the respect the places deserve. Special call out for the courage to film the cathedral in this episode, as a foreigner and with reverence for the subject.
This is another nice tour of France in the city of Dole and along the Loire River this is a really beautiful place with nice looking buildings and shops with places to eat and i really like seeing these areas of a city as always until next time thank you.🇨🇵👋🇺🇲
It’s a creepy, weird and unfriendly town. Walked around for an hour and couldn’t leave fast enough. Like the setting of a bad horror movie. Not recommended.
Interesting the different reactions you and I had. I loved the little town and found it fascinating. Sorry you didn't enjoy it but thanks for the comment. -H
We were there in May. Wasted an afternoon driving out there from CDA. Found nothing charming about it ... just creepy. Thanks for your post and have a good day.
They have a lot more pixels and they have to be stitched together, then colorgrade, then recompressed. Also, they tend to be recorded in H.265. All of this takes a ton of computer power and time. Especially since the typical video software doesn't really handle equirectangular footage that well. I'm looking forward to seeing if I can get my hands on the X4 and I just got a newer computer which could hopefully speed things up. Great question and thanks for the interest. -H
Great video. If you get a chance, continue west on McKinley past Hill St. You'll pass the Bunker Hill Mine, Deadwood Gulch and Government Gulch. Lottsa History
Hi Ramah, thanks for the feedback. The talking and pointing things out is what I do on this channel. I definitely understand that it's not for everyone. Luckily there's tons of other channels out there that are silent like @WatchedWalker et al. Best of luck. -H
37.12 Our Greatest son William Wallace statue,,,,I hate the fact the he isnt on Union street King Edward statue should be outside His Majesty's Theatre,,Its almost deliberate
25.16 Now you are at The Butchers this is where the farmers from around Aberdeen used to bring cattle for slaughter,,The Butcher Arms is the pub across the road if you like a punch up this is where to go lol
Where the college is was the site of a massive English Castle This is where Robert the Bruce burnt down the castle and started our big war with England,To the right 19.06 minutes in is the castle well but you missed it,,,Romans had a fort there aswell when they were preparing for the battle of Mons Graupius,,I like to go to the car park to look outfrom height and imagine Roman tents as far as the eye can see,,They also used to burn witches on that hill,,Its a pity we dont have tour guides in Aberdeen
French Architecture is so unique and you have captured it well in this walk. Thoroughly enjoyed and your narration adds an extra layer of interest. Thanks as always Henry
Cincinnati vs Cleveland I prefer neither 😂 but in all respects Cincinnati has a southern twang Cleveland is a echo of new york so whichever you like best suits you...
This is another great walking tour and Nevers is another beautiful modest size city in France and the older buildings are always really awesome to look at on the thin streets as well as the local shops and businesses it is very nice there in Nevers thank you once again for the awesome tour in France and walks until next time you and your family take care thank you Henry.🇺🇲🤠🇨🇵
Sometime could you go over to 'mud flats'? My Dad was USAF and we lived on a street that was 2 story, on the corner. Down the street was a big campus (big to a 2nd grader) and nuns were there If you walk down the other street you'd run into our elementary school. We lived there till a house opened up on base. Got my first kiss on the cheek from a boy in my class- he was so sweet. He and his parents suddenly moved away- Mom told me he had to transfer a school for very intelligent kids- I do remember he was smart. Wish I could find him just to see what he did in life with his brain. DEAN WHERE ARE YOU?!?!? 😂
@@CityWalks haha! Its the neighborhood by that big...college? Where the nuns are. It was called Mud Flats because the streets were muddy. Somehow I guess the houses were built before the streets were put down. I'll see if Mom knows the address
