Imagine people 100 years into the future watching this. It would be the same as us watching footage of life in the 1920s. It was a completely different world! As will it be in the 2120s.
One thing I will say about Los Angeles, and this goes for anywhere you move. Be careful who you associate with, and be aware of others intentions because there are a lot in-genuine people trying to get something out of you. For the most part if you do your own thing have your own fixed schedule and have plans and are working towards your own personal goals everything will be fine, I highly recommend going to the beach whenever you feel overwhelmed in the city and it's a good place to relax and unwind with the sounds of the ocean waves.
On a typical day, it's basically cold winter all the way till about 9 am, starting then it's spring till 9:30, then hot summer all the way till like 5:30....spring again till about 8 pm, then gets cold super quickly...repeat. So a lot of people just slip on hoodies when they head out the door in the morning but don't bother taking it off later in the day because they're used to the weather being obscure like that :) (of course this only applies to most months, not all)
It all depends on the time of day. In this video, as you can tell from people's shadows, the time would be 6:00am (not the usual time to be downtown). As such, the temperature can rise 10 to almost 20 degrees by 1pm. (65 to 80)
That sun in California is priceless like nowhere else in the world, once you see it once, feel it on your skin you want to go back forever. hoenstly gave me a depression after studying there for 1 year, knowing i can't live there forever. i loved it.
Great video! I was just in LA in November and downtown was full of homeless camps. You did a good job showcasing the best of what LA has to offer and avoided the worst. People don’t watch your videos to see the worst of what the world provides. I’m glad to see at least some of downtown is still nice. I hope they can solve the problem. Because it was heartbreaking to see.
So lucky😢 My dream is to move there one day (I’m 15 and I live in Israel currently) so in probably 6 years I’ll be able to move there, After I’m done serving for the army :)
The thing about downtown LA is everyone looks like tourists and you don't see many locals. So many plazas are empty of people. In New York, beside the huge crowd of tourists near museums, attractions, theaters, you will see many locals sitting in parks, buying grocery, going inside apartment buildings.
You'll see that in downtown LA. Head to the Broad Museum and you'll see a line of people at all times of day stretching around the block to get in. Walt Disney Concert Hall and Dorothy Chandler Pavilion will only get busy when concerts and plays/opera are scheduled. FYI, you do see locals in downtown too. A lot of this area is bring converted to residential high rises and skyscrapers especially along Spring and Olive streets and near the Arts District.
julio ventura What are you talking about there’s plenty of places outside of downtown like santa monica and venice and rodeo and the grove and melrose etc
You are right. It used to be like that 20 years ago. Now LA downtown is booming. Startups that would have gone to San Francisco are moving to LA downtown because guess what, LA is cheaper, LOL.
Btw thank you so much for these videos. A family member is sick so now I am the permanent breadwinner and as such I cannot travel again until I am independent which is what 20 years' time? So these videos help give me life. I feel like I'm there.
Wonderful, I enjoyed every minute of it! Thanks for sharing! I would love for you to make a video walking through the Getty Museum and it's gardens with all the amazing views on the hills 😍
@@rafathebroken9083 I used to live there bro😂 Even I was excited at the beginning, but later on we understood it U need to be very rich to live there and the public transport is not that good as compared to other cosmopolitan cities in the world,as you know that the healthcare isn't that good So finally it was an experience mixed with joy and sometimes uncomfortable My experience is this and I lived there for 3 years and later we moved on from that city
Strikes me as so LA to have an ice rink outside in Southern California. In any case, great walk through downtown. You covered some iconic locations and buildings. Loved the sunny day. -Henry
Just some suggestions on where to do another walking tour, hermonsa beach pier, americana Glendale, the grove farmers market, Huntington library, the arboretum Arcadia
Deep Stateystate yes I live there and the tents are everywhere now. Not just skid row. Even the nicer areas in LA. It’s happening all over California cities.
The architecture of Walt Disney Concert Hall is really incredibly amazing. My first time to walk around there. Didn't know you can walk outside and take some awesome shots.
