I’m glad you doing it too my friend! I run this channel by myself and that includes taking all of the flights and filming them. So it costs me a lot to that and fly enough to upload daily. Every new viewer helps with that by watching! So thanks for watching!
Yes, both. Although, I don't really use the lounge access anymore. See, lounges were great until everyone had access. Now, it's often less crowded to just find an unused gate haha.
Great video featuring what I believe are the 2 most fascinating airports in the US....JFK and MIA ....evening arrival in MIA a bonus. This easily could be my favorite video that you have featured.....many thanks.
@@notveshremybutsomeotherguy the majority of the money I use for these flights is what I get in ad revenues from RU-vid. Then I have channel members and Patreons that help contribute, and then it's my own money haha.
Aren't most of America Airlines 777's using the Trent engine? I'm more of a GE90 engine kind of guy haha 😄 😊 I've flown on a few 777's in my life, and all but 2 of the flights were with the GE90! The GE90 seems to have a much quicker and dramatic climb out capability than the Trent powered 777's I've flown on? Maybe I'm just being too critical 😕 😅😅 I think having 4 Pratt & Whitney turboprops installed on a 777 would be so cool hahaha 😆 😂 one can dream I guess? 😊
Yes, all of American's 200 series 777's are equipped with Trent 800's. Their 300's are equipped with GE90's. Personally I like the roar and buzz of the Trent better than the GE90. But, that's just from the sounds haha. As far as performance, I'm honestly not sure how they compare.
Do you only book bad weather flights into or out of Miami? 😉 By the way, did you noticed the shadow of the planes contrail on the dark brown cloud layer?
I only book bad weather flights everywhere. I never fails, no matter how good the weather is supposed to be during that time of year, you can bet it will be raining when I'm there. I was in Las Vegas last year. Where it only rains like 20 days per year. And there were severe thunderstorms and flash floods while I was there. So if you're in a drought and you need rain, just have me book flights to your nearest airport.
😂 I'll remember that. I live close to DUS (Düsseldorf Germany. I just checked out your channel, do you only travel? You have so many videos. It will take me the rest of my life to watch all of them.
@@Christin5554 I do run this channel by myself and until recently I ran it in my spare time. I flew on my days off from work and posted what I could. That said, in January of 22 I started running the channel full time. So, I've been do this alone for about 2 years.
Awesome video as usual. I'm curious how you mount the camera/phone to get such clear shots without vibration. I just flew into KMIA myself and my footage isn't even close to this, lol. Thanks for sharing. Love the vids.
As AviatorTrav said, I do not mount the camera to the plane at all. I hold the camera by hand, even on longer flights. And I don't just do this because I want to. Believe me, I'd love to just mount the camera and sleep the whole flight haha. But, when you mount the camera to the plane, all of those vibrations from the engines and wind resistance, are transferred from that mount into the lens of the camera. It gives the foot a ripple effect. Almost like you're filming through a clear bowl of Jello. The only way to eliminate that is to hold the camera by hand. And I've tried dozens of mounts at this point. I've even custom made mounts with drone parts to try to solve this, and no such luck.
@@sla31 yes. Is one of my favorite things to be found. This one came here in San Juan PR months ago. But is not gonna come until the next few months later 😞😞😞
Interesting A300 model in the beginning, I'm surprised they would choose that A/C instead of a 767 type. I had a helluva time finding one, A300 that is, for my collection in 1/200 scale with polished fuselage but lucked out on E-bay. Another great video.
If I'm remembering correctly, American's A300's used to be based at JFK. If not based there, they were there a lot. A lot of the old pictures and videos I've seen of American's A330's are from JFK. Maybe they were just a bigger deal at JFK than the 767. I'm honestly not sure. Maybe it was just what that artist decided to use haha. We may never know. Thanks for watching my friend! As always, it's much appreciated!
WOWOWOWOOWW!! Great view of Atlantic Beach!! Watching your video made me flash back to April 1972 when I went from JFK to PBI. We took off, but not longer after, we landed at JFK again, and the captain said that our plane got notice that there might be a bomb aboard and we would all have to deplane, which we did. We were stranded at JFK for over 3 hours while the bomb squad thoroughly examined the plane and also all of our luggage. One of the agents made me open up my bag and he tossed everything around and left the mess for me to clean up (JEEZ!! Thanks a LOT, jerk!). As it was, it was April 1 and someone decided to play an April Fool's on the airline, which was the long defunct National Airlines. Yeah, ha, ha NOT funny!! I was 13 and this was my 13th plane flight! Can you say triskaidekaphobia??? Anyhow, we FINALLY took off again on our way down to PBI ( I was visiting my grandmother who lived in Delray Beach for spring break). and there was heavy T-storm activity over SE Florida, which tossed our DC-10 around like it was nothing. The younger kids (younger than me) all thought it was a big thrill like being in on amusement park ride. I watched a bolt of lightning hit the tip of the wing of our aircraft. Sitting next to me was a college freshman (don't remember which school he went to) who told me that the plane had lightning rods at the tip of the wing to attract the lightning away from the fuselage. You see, this was his FIRST plane flight, his maiden air voyage! For me, this was my first flight on a DC-10. It was so much bigger than anything I had flown in previously. Needless to say, my grandmother was very happy that I finally arrived. My return flight back up to JFK was WAY less eventful!
@@sla31 Yes, be glad that YOU weren't on that flight! Also, on the way to JFK to drop me off, my mom's boyfriend (yes, my parents had divorced) talked about how a boy my age in a movie that he watched figured out that the plane he was on was turning around back to the airport from where it departed from because of a bomb threat and he asked me if I would be smart enough to figure that out if it happened to me. When I get back home to JFK after my trip, I yelled at him saying "You and your BIG MOUTH!!" while in the taxicab back to our place in Manhattan. He laughed it off and was happy that I finally was able to stand up and talk back to him, which was what he wanted to teach me. During that trip,. my grandmother took me up to Disney World via the long defunct Shawnee Airlines in a large prop plane about the size of a Q400, but nowhere near as fast. You see, back in 1972, Disney World was brand new and had just opened. On our return flight down to PBI, we went through some serious thunderstorms. JEEZ!! Our plane was bouncing around like you wouldn't believe. It just kept going and going.
I’m just scared of the wing view plane it just gets my heart Wreight up😮💨 let’s just say I’m scared of planes but I love them so much and I want to be a pilot one day😂
Nice! I would prefer flying the 772 on this route any day over a 737 though now it became more rare😢as AA only uses the B772 for one flight between JFK to MIA rest are just 737 800s/MAX 8s compare that to 777 200s and 300s with flagship first flying for this route daily consistently in 2021 but now they downgraded it to just 737s as they use these more for international flights .😢 btw you should try American Airlines from Doha to JFK in economy it’s a new service and not Many people has posted a review in economy class so pls do soon
Yeah, back when Covid was still around these wide bodies were all re-deployed domestically. We got spoiled. Now they're mostly back on international routes. And JFK-DOH is an interesting route. It's also expensive though. The cheapest I can find it is still over $1,600. Flights like that re kind of on hold right now. I run everything on this channel by myself, and I pay for everything myself. Since Shorts have become a thing on RU-vid, my ad revenues have plummeted. And that's the main thing that was covering most of my expenses. So, $1,600 is basically my entire monthly budget for flights, and I need that to cover 12-13 fights. Not just 2. See, my RU-vid Shorts are performing very well. But, a Short that I uploaded that has nearly 300,000 views has only madame $11. 300,000 views on a regular longform video would make me $1,500-$3,000 depending on the CPM on that particular video. Anyway, big flights like that are out until Shorts either start to make more $$$ or people start to watch longer videos more again.
I imagine it'll be back at some point. American has operated 777's on their JFK-MIA route for years. Sometimes they rotate them elsewhere, but some of these flights always end up on 777's again. I even did this route on their 777-300 once.
