I’ve been to South Lake Tahoe. Just for a day trip, was staying with a friend in Carson city and he suggested that we go up to Lake Tahoe for the day. It was cool saw the lake and at at Harrah’s for dinner.
I stayed there about 15+ years ago, surprised it looks almost the same as it did then. Some of the hotels changed names but overall I’m surprised it hasn’t grown
Yeah, it seems like it. Most mountain resort towns don't really grow or want to grow. Also the cost of living is much higher than average so many people can't afford to move there.
My siblings and I were born in South Lake Tahoe. We were raised 30min away in carson city nv. My grandparents still live in south lake tahoe though. So it's like we never left. Always visit them there. They've lived in the same house for over 45 years
@@nomadicmonkey Isn't that HDR a setting on the phone? BTW, my wife liked that you weren't talking all the time so we could hear some ambient sounds...or lack thereof. A little narration goes a long way.
Yeah, you shoot in HDR then process it as HDR on the computer. Definitely, I want to provide just enough narration for someone to have a basic understanding of the location.
@@nomadicmonkey no way really? I didn't realise the iPhone was that good too. Those are real high quality cameras you have there. Especially the fx3 and GHs iii. Amazing how far tech has come.
This is such a great and helpful video! We're planning a trip to Lake Tahoe for the first time this year, and your walk tour made us even more excited! ^ _ ^ Thanksssss!
You can park for free at the California Lodge Heavenly base and go up the mountain from there or take a free shuttle to Heavenly Village. Other options are a paid city parking garage right in the Heavenly Village or in one of the casino parking garage.
