at 17:00 I literally stayed at that condo complex when I was 17 back in 2007. I went with two buddies one of which parents owned a condo on the third floor, I can see the entrance in the video. I celebrated my 18th birthday looking out to the ocean at midnight in front of the front door watching the full moon. thanks for the memories, I have to return some summer day. I think about that night almost every day :)

Oh man. Does this bring back memories. My wife and I vacationed at the Sugar Beach Resort in 1985. That's it the 6 story building on the right at 15:50. I'll never forget it. My wife was so young and beautiful . We had been married for 5 years then. We just had our 41st anniversary and now she is battling brain tumors and is a shell of herself. So I look at this vid and think how lucky I have been to have had her so long. BTW when we stayed there the cost was $50 a nite.

in 75 they just built sugar beach, it was by it self in that area, took a few years to sell all the units, sugar beach was a dust magnet, all the red lava dust blew off the Cane fields. messy' & dirty'

Wow...... that really made me have some Flashbacks...... I spent the whole Summer of 2008 there in Kihei and walked that exact Beach about every morning. Brought back ALOT of memories........ At 24 minutes on your film it looks like Hawaii just got hit by a N.Korea Nuke.......It was so BRIGHT... Lets hope and pray that doesn't happen of course........ Thanks for Making the Video......GOD-JESUS Bless.

We stay at the Sugar Beach condominiums and I work out at the kihei boat club's pull up bars every morning while on vacation..next October will be our 5th year..great video..

You want to swim much further south (like Kamaole I and south) - this beach is not good for swimming

i agree! there are spots along the road where there are no sidewalks, so the cars can be a bit closer than feels comfortable. walking on the beach is my preference, but that depends on how fast a person wants to get from point A to point B (sand is definitely slower). :) this is a great video! i shared this with a friend who lived in a place that was in the video... that's always great fun!

Lovely views but far too slow (esp as there are several times when the person stops completely). A little faster and without the long section walking on the road at the beginning and it would be perfection :)

What's funny is that is Sugar beach. Otherwise known as "syringe beach" bc of how dirty it is. It's located in North Kihei. Even the dirty beaches can look nice...lol

Great video, but would even much better with human company factor. Walking and talking to some beautiful girl next to you, from time to time showing her or some other friend. Maybe 80% showing sideways and 20% showing your company. Half of video leading with your conversation sound. Otherwise it is quite boring and depressing watching sideways in silence.
