Koenigsegg is only a bit more than 20 years old and look at how far the brand has come. It is truly spectacular seeing how much innovation went into their products in such a short amount of time. You are right about one thing, that Porsche will beat any Koenigsegg in a race...up to an Agera. An Agera might be beaten by the Porsche but its clear from this video and their recent innovations that any car they built from the Agera R era till now, the Regera era, Koenigsegg excels at performance and the numbers don't lie. They have beaten McLaren, Porsche and Ferrari. You can tell I'm a Koenigsegg fan and I won't lie, I am. But I'm just here stating facts and letting you know that know what one of the pioneers of automotive engineering is capable of. It should be clear to anyone who knows the story of Koenigsegg and how far they have come in such a short time that the company deserves respect. It truly does. And it won't matter to me if any other brand gets ahead of them in terms of performance in the future, I'll still take a Koenigsegg over any other hypercar just because no other hypercar brand has gotten my respect the way they have.

The 918 spyder is a monster though! I mean for a fraction of the price you can get a weissach package and it will beat any koenigsegg. I agree, even though it might not be faster than the 918 i would still take an agera r or a one:1 over the 918

"No koenigsegg will come close to catching this on any track, just look at how the 918 pulls away from it from a roll, it would do the same coming out of every corner of the track. there would be no straights long enogh for the Koenigsegg to catch up"

M3Conv Dude, Gustav is not agreeing with you. Regarding the second run, the 918 took off first. He jumped the start. The Agera driver LET the 918 go first and then started chasing. I'm sorry, it's amazing that you didn't get that. You hear the cameraman in the 918 saying that he has to get going first, then tells him "Go go go go". Then, from the camera in the Agera, you see the 918 go, and only hear the Agera start accelerating when the Porsche is already a carlength ahead. It's obvious dude.

I've seen that car! I check them all out. That Agera is track tested and if i had all the money in the world all my cars would be Porsche 911's!!!!! Especially the GT 2 RS 620 twin turbo H.P. And the new GT 3 2016 that car is all that!!!!!!

All that bhp difference and from a rolling start it only overtook Porsche at 260km/h+... Around a track, that's a certain loss for Koenigsegg, because that's the speed band you are going at. Now, off course Koenigsegg is going to beat the Porsche or any car for the matter on top speed alone if the runway is enough for it to do it, but that's irrelevant for all practical purposes.

Complaining? I only heard him explaining in race 1 that he was in 7th (economy) gear. If you knew something about Porsche and PDK then you would know that it isn't even possible to reach maximum speed in that gear. It is for economic driving and not performance. We saw a drastically improved race by the 918 in race 2 which just shows that the driver was right.

Porsche wouldn't even come close. Even with the hybrid system, the 918 makes basically no torque compared to the Agera R lol. That's why the roll races were such blowouts. Also, the triplex damper on the Koenigsegg is an underrated part of the suspension secret sauce, not to mention hollow carbon fiber wheels and in-house traction control.

Actually (I have ridden in both) the Agera was MUCH mor ecomfortable and the 918 was supersmall cabin compared to the LARGE cabin of the AGera.
