One hell of an aesthetic base. I always end up maximizing efficiency and shy away from wood like its the plague, but really cool to see a rustic town style instead of shacked up by or in the mountain like the remainder of us do :)

as a player who is relatively new, I really love the planning here, it's so pretty to watch.

I been playing RimWorld for years now It's my fav game. Story is what grips me. Not the graphics even though they are brilliant. But story that plays out in my head. The pawns I fall.in love with or I lose in battle. 8ts truly a masterpiece for how small it is lol

Hey man awesome base, since you are going for the quick route to the ship, you can build the engine then start it up before building all the expensive ship parts thus keeping colony wealth down. I know its sweaty but it works if you're just trying to fly away!

RU-vid got me here. I got a couple hundred hours (not sure how many, because until I bought the game, I played it the less legit way). This is the best thing I watched today. I suck at rimworld, and have 0 imagination, when it comes to building things.

This is so fun. I finally did that around the 200 hour marks and with no mods it was so difficult! Fun to watch others experience the same.

How do you do this without a killbox? Wouldn’t a colony like this simply get trampled by 20-40 centipede in the late game?

Interesting. It would be nice to include some log with data. Such as each year/base wealth/new colonist/lost colonist, first insect attack/infestation etc. As a relatively new player, i'd like to see where I am. But basically at 5-10k silver, 30 adv. components, 150K base wealth, recently first infestation, first airpod attack, first insect/mechs attacks and I started getting new colonists from AI (either from airpod crash->join or quests). No slave traders in like 3 years - basically since I can afford slaves so I grown from 5-6 colonists to 9. Quite interesting is comparing base layout, mine is very opposite of this one - build under largest mountain that is not at the very edge of the map, centered around freezer, kitchen, dinning room and rec room, one side bedrooms, other side production (huge workshop, huge stockpile area). Extremelly impresive dinning room and rec room to get mood boost. Problem is that freezer is getting too small and everything is getting too far away and I have no idea where to get persona core and how can i waste 2000 units of steel in no time (I even started buying (adv) components, cause I don't need that much silver)

Watching at 0.25 speed with sound off. Not that it's bad music. But unnecessary and in slow motion. And even slower, I'm still having to pause it all the time just to keep up. Currently 1min in. So one thing I don't understand is the corners of some of the buildings. Like instead of a square or rectangle, the corner piece is inside rather than on the actual corner. What is that for? Also, another thing is that my game would say lack of defense. So I would have a perimeter wall around everything (crops, animals, all) before doing pretty much any improvements. And have traps set up. So I'm guessing this is a lower difficulty? The only thing I'd say I disagree with here is the butcher table. I'd never put it in the kitchen as it gives dirt to the room simply by existing. I keep my kitchen as sterile as possible. So only a small room for cooking with one entrance that only the chef would ever go in.

1.butchering table should not be in same room as cooking spot even on start 2.frige walls should be 2 block wide and have air lock 3.just use shelf for space saving
