Amazing that Scimitars are still in use. Delighted to see them. As an NZ artillery officer umpiring a US tank battalion (work that one out), I was allocated one from 15th/19th the King's Royal Hussars as personal transport during Exercise Crusader in 1984. Over 10 days unwittingly exceeded the Scimitar's annual mileage allowance. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
The venerable CVRT Scimitar still in service is nice to see, had one tow my Land Rover out of a very deep muddy situation on Salisbury Plain 20 odd year's ago.
What is most remarkable about this video, at least to me, is that in every shot in every location the roads are in pristine condition. Not a pothole or scarring in sight and yet, the winters are far more severe in Germany than they are in the UK. The public roads in the United Kingdom are a national disgrace and reflect years of austerity and the gradual impoverishment of our nation. So very sad.
CVRT was designed in the 1960s and it is still being used, not a bad vehicle back in the day - but, it's about time it was replaced with something more up to date.
