The animation/movement of these animatronic figures is STUNNING, just amazing...wish we had this attraction in the Disney parks here in America, this whole thing is just adorable...
I agree! There is nothing like quality animatronics! Especially now that American Disney parks are opting for projected faces on their animatronics. Just looks tacky, lazy, and takes the magic out of the ride. I hope this trend doesn’t last long and we can see return of the timeless animatronics Disney was known for.
This ride is such a hidden treasure! Whenever we visit, the line up is barely 5 minutes in the queue. The music is just astonishingly beautiful, the message of following the compass of your heart and enjoying the journey of creating all the memories and friends... Everything about this ride is just so magical :D It made me sad when I visited the American Disneyland, and not see this!
Rode this in July as part of my first trip to Tokyo DisneySea. This was the most impressive attraction in the park, and that is saying a lot in a park that has the world's best Tower of Terror, the world's best Indiana Jones Adventure, and also the brilliant and thrilling Journey to the Center of the Earth. This Sinbad ride has it all. The song is addictive, the characters are lovable, and the ride is (like all of DisneySea) a marvel. This video, while beautiful, does not even begin to do justice to what an amazing experience this ride really is. EVERY SINGLE animatronic has its own unique movements and personality. And there was nothing - not a single character - that was broken or not moving properly. There was so much to take in, that I could have ridden this all day. It really is that good.
My girlfriend and I rode this like 4 times when we were in Tokyo DisneySea! Adorable ride with stunning animatronics, wonderful music, and (most importantly) almost no line EVER! Plus Shandu is adorable. Probably one of my favorite rides ever! Definitely don't miss this one if you're lucky enough to visit DisneySea!!!

I am crying, this is so beautiful. It should be an animated feature in this style, would be a great success for sure. And this song "Compass of Your Heart" is surely one of the best songs that Alan Menken has ever composed.
If you ever go here in real life, the scene at 2:03 feels like you're ACTUALLY outside in the middle of a storm! :) The spinning hurricane on the left side is actually very big!
Man, my husband surprised me with this ride. I was wth is this... I we really enjoyed it. The highlight of our Disney Sea trip in Tokyo. Beautiful song too. Made me so happy
When I visited TDS I had NO idea what this attraction was about, but within a minute I totally fell in love with it and made it my fave TDS attraction. I would love to see a version of this in a US Disney park.
Yeah! In Epcot it'd fit nicely somewhere around the Morocco pavillon, also I'd love it to be duplicated here in Disneyland Paris, the entrance of Adventureland already features the Roc's nest and a few mural featuring Sindbad's voyages so it'd be a perfect fit. Disney, are you listening?! :)
Went on this ride last week. Loved the production value of this ride. Song became pretty addictive in my head, even though I did not understand a word being said.

i cant believe they made this amazing ride!!! I love the sing, although i dont understand a word, i love those wonderful animatronics and their movement! everything is perfect in this ride!!!
It says a lot about their rides when even in a different language you can still follow the story. I like the infectious Menken-ish song. Wonder what he's saying. Kinda like their version of Its a Small World but with better animatronics.

Thanks for the video! I'd loved watching this ride even though I don't know Japanese but I grasped a lot of the plot and loved it. It could make a good book or movie if their is not one already. Disney US needs some serious upgrades to match a lot of this stuff being done internationally!
Came to Disney sea for the first time yesterday and rode this ride. Wow! I don’t even know what this song is about but it is so inspiring. This is the best ride in the park. The music, the animatronics, the story, the ride length, the short line. It’s perfect. I want to download this song and play on repeat.
This is simply the best single ride ever! It has a WOW factor that cannot be found anywhere else... I am so glad that I tried it before knowing what to expect. I like trying from mild to wild rides, but this experience goes beyond that. I did it 3 times (maybe I should have done it more...): the 1st time I was being surprised at each scene, the 2nd time I took the opportunity to enjoy more deeply the story and the 3rd time, just before the park closed, it was the perfect VIP experience ending for the day: alone in the boat I was fully immersed in it ... I felt like an additional animatronic :-). Every and each single animatronic is so perfectly coordinated, the story speaks for itself and the music is amazing (even if I could catch only few words...). And the best part: you ride much more time (+10 min) than you wait (-5 min): usually is far away the opposite!!! Before leaving I had to buy a tiger toy (he is so cute!!!) and today I am listening to all videos I can find in RU-vid about it :-). Please give it a chance: this is what any ride experiece in a disney park should look like ;-). The dream came actually true :p
This looks like such a fun and amazing ride! Also Chandu is so cute in every scene he's in! Whether he's tying up a pirate with a string of pearls, showing Sinbad the map of where they're going or sleeping on the rope after all of those adventures, all tuckered out from so much excitement.
I cannot believe how freaking amazing every single animatronic was. They all seemed like characters from right off the screen, each one was so fluid and expressive! And the song is catchy and beautiful too, this is truly one of the best dark rides in all the Disney Parks!
Beautifully shot SoCal Attracions 360! It's almost as good as being on the ride itself. What a breathtaking journey isn't it? I experienced it for the first time in September 2016 and I was almost in tears. ;)
