Thanks for making this. I skied Telluride a few years ago and it is my fav ski resort.. just majestically beautiful with great runs. It's a bit further to get to (I'm from Australia) but glad I did.
I want to thank you for taking the time to inset landmarks along the way so we would know exactly where you were skiing. So many people don’t make the extra effort!
Christ that was great; I;m a Florida guy to old to long board or skim board / but I'd love a shot at snowboarding any instructors you recommend, Thanks.
I was just In park city and my dad skis vail every year with his friends. We want to come to telluride next year.. how would you say it compares to those mountains?
I would say to stay in the Town of Telluride. Camels Garden or Ice house have the best ski location in town. If you are looking for high end Auberge Element 52.
Jake Goodnight I also would recommend renting/buying a place in telluride lodge if it’s your style. It’s really cool there and I think most people will like it.
Is skiing at this high altitude physically exhausting? 11k ft is very high altitude I find skiing the Rockies so much harder than Whistler which is fairly low in altitude in comparison
Just come back from Copper with 9700ish' base elevation and 12300ish' peak elevation. Yes it is exhausting! High altitude also means dryer powder so it's easier on your legs.
Read the yelp reviews for Kain and Burke Law Firm in Grand Junction, Colorado. Use caution with Telluride Ski Resorts security. I successfully sued the head security guard and his employer TS&G in the San Miguel County Civil Court System that has a $5000 limit.
So takeaways: not too crowded, lots of narrow trails, some pretty lousy skiers/boarders and a guy with a GoPro who skis too fast. Since I won't be skiing this Covid season, I'll be watching this a few times. Thx.
