The 2015 MacBook Pro 13" is still good for video editing. I use this old MacBook to edit 4K and 1080p RU-vid videos using Final Cut Pro X. So far, so good. MacOS apps are impressively optimised for low-end hardware. I can definitely recommend this 2015 MacBook Pro 13 as a cheap laptop for video editing if you are a RU-vid content creator. It will handle most video editing tasks.

Hi iVadim, I have the same device and I am wondering if mine runs constantly at higher temperatures. My cpu PECI sensor is mostly at 60-80 C range while doing nothing, just having couple apps open. I don't do video editing, but I use it for browsing (chrome/opera) with multiple tabs, youtube videos, some other apps, with as second low res display. How are your temperatures? If they are lower, I might need to apply some new thermal paste probably. Thanks in advance for your answer.

Some apps may load your CPU more than you think. Even browsing the Internet. Especially when playing videos. My idle temps across all sensors are 30-40C. CPU/GPU is at 45-55C when playing one RU-vid video in Safari. If you haven’t changed the thermal paste for many years then it will definitely help to reduce temps.

Hi! Thanks! It is OK for 1080p video editing. 4K is struggling in some cases. Especially, if it is 4K60. I am making all the videos you've seen on this channel in the past couple of months using this Macbook Pro. So, it is doable. But, I still wish I had a faster machine=)

@@positivevibes2871 yes, try to find a model with a dedicated graphics card as the CPU based Intel graphics limits what you can do, but the 2015 MBP can handle 4K editing way better than my full speced 2013 MBP

@@KidTonyGaming Thank you mate , it’s not like crazy editing but I would use fusion a little and some effects and all that , I found a offer on a MacBook Pro 2015 15’ , Core i7 16gb ram 512gb ssd macOS Big Sur , and I want it to edit RU-vid vids and I don’t wanna regret buying it later so this like the god knows how much review I’ve watched lol, so do u think I should go for it and can it handle

@@positivevibes2871 yeah bro if it's in your price range jump on it, you'll be able to breeze through all your basic video editing needs and you should be able to do a decent bit of visual fx if fusion is similar to after effects/nuke

Для 4К точно не бери. Редактировать 4К на нём - боль=) Я полностью на 1080р перешёл. В будущем планирую заменить на Macbook Air M1. Мне нравится идея системы без вентиляторов. Полная тишина=)

I disagree 😄 I like Apple's well optimised software. Working with 4K videos on a 2-core CPU is just a miracle. And AirDrop is awesome, among other Mac + iOS features.

@@theivadim Yes, my Acer i5 with Nvadia card can't even edit 1080p video. Drop frame is very bad, I only can guess and export it by luck and repeat to edit. Should I go for ipad Pro or buy this laptop? Price is almost similar in Malaysia.

@@kijang777 I tried working on the iPad to replace my Macbook and found the experience frustrating. I wanted to go back to using the Macbook badly even after one week. So, I ended up selling iPad. I am now back to working on this Macbook. Making videos and doing all the business stuff as well. Emails, browsing, writing, etc. It is much more convenient to have a full laptop experience. At least for the type of work I do.

@@theivadim Do you think 1080p is still easy job for MacBook 13 2015 right? Should I get 16gb? I can get within my budget for 8gb base model. Or you recommend me to get 15 model with 16gb? I not really don't know about Mac OS. Not sure I should invest for dual graphics card model which price nearly to M1 Air in 4k for Malaysia ringgit.
