The city has poor urban planning, just houses and more houses . No thought to city planning like Singapore. A mess of a city IMHO.

People in East Asia have been wearing face masks out and about since the late 80s. It's to mitigate the spread of respiratory diseases in enclosed spaces such as on the metro and public transportation. It also serves to reduce inhale pollution when out and about. They don't go hysterical at the sight of face masks like the crazies in the U.S. do.
