The past two weekends I've been working on a winch bumper for Franky, the 4runner.
I grabbed some 3/8" plate and some 1/4" diamond plate from the remnant pile at Industrial Metal Supply. Paid $50 i think.
Used 6" Hitch reciever tubes for under the plate and welded some gussets under those.
Reinforced the 6 mounting holes on the front with some more scrap 1/4" plate I had laying around.
And used the left over 2x3" square tube from my rock sliders for the rest.

They work really well though I'm still working out the Hyper Blink issue. Tried the EP-35 relay from AutoZone but I don't think it works for this year (which is a 1986).
**UPDATE: EP-32 Relay works for the this truck. Plug and play, from AutoZone (cost $20 bucks though which is a little much but whatever).
