Yep. Broke the first one and then realized how simple it was with the second one and the rest lol. Made it so complicated when it was in fact super easy.

How do you reset them? Probably a dumb question but I thought I was resetting it but just twirls and is loose when I put it back in. Compared to what it was before of not moving at all.

Also could ground at the body near the battery then just run the positive inside. One less wire to deal with inside

@@bswen600 It's called "Tail" located bottom left in the panel under the drivers dash next to the ebrake

Does the taillight come on During the Day to make the raptor lights turn on ??? Or does it need to be turned on with Lower beam light?

@First Last they'll stay off during the day, therefore, the first setting that will turn them on will be the yellow parking lights

Bro same , I was so close to picking up a grand Cherokee but torn with the mixed reviews. Now I’m determined to save a little bit more for a 2015 sr5 4Runner with 4x4. It’s an investment towards a very reliable and sweet looking vehicle

I live in PA (outside of Philly) and never knew this. Do you have an actual reference from the PA DOT or DMV? I have amber raptor lights in both my 4Runner and Tacoma grills.

What fuse did you use for on without the headlights?

i had the low profile fuse they give me the mini fuse tap I can’t put my fuse into a fuse tap so do i have to get the mini fuse to replace the fuse that i had?

how do you put the clips back in?

2021 SR5 and in the INJ fuse of the engine fuse box, the fuse box cover now does not close. Please advise.

@@dlumlung use a dremel tool to create a slot for the wire in the lip of the fuse box. Then match the slot on the cover. Protect wire from chafe with some electrical tape or preferably cloth automotive tape. They should advise using a grommet in the firewall hole also. Grounded sparky wires no bueno.

Wish I would've read this comment before finishing running the cable and crimping the fuse to the line 😫

Can you share the video you are referencing in your post? I have a 2022 TRD 4Runner. I installed then on the tail light fuse, lights new raptor lights came on but I loose my tail light and parking lights. I don’t know how to make all lights ( raptor lights, parking lights, tail lights) work together. Any ideas?

I tried both options for my 18 sr5. Under the hood works for me but after a week my battery died. With this option my lights stayed on every time the truck is on. I’ve tried connected inside the vehicle under steering column as shown in video but does not work for me.....not sure why.

By hooking the wire under the driver cab does that ensure battery will not be drained? Or should I install a switch?

Inside the cab. The first 10amp will say tail lights. If you use that one. Then you have some control . They wont turn on unless you select your front amber side marker lights. This way if you wanted to . You can run with them off or on with your front side markers. Basically working like a switch

@@jeremylusher1316 what fuse spot did you use? my 2021 under dash fuse box doesn’t look like the one in this video. I only have one empty fuse spot and when I plug it in there, the lights stay on no matter what.

No you don’t. You can pull the fuse labeled “IGN” in the panel under dashboard and use the add a fuse in that spot with the 10amp fuse you pulled out and a 15amp fuse for the lights and you are good to go. Could probably work in the spot labeled “IGN NO.2” as well.

@@ryanlieder7459 thank you for this I was struggling to get them to turn off when the car was off but this definitely worked without having to use the fuse box under the hood.

And if you put it in the only available slot the lights stay on all the time. So thank you so much for this tip!!! Also, do you lose anything by taking out the old fuse and putting in this one?

Yo that happened to me too when I originally installed in the under the hood fuse box. It just completely shut off and brakes didn’t work or anything on the highway. Luckily it wasn’t rush hour and I had to push the brake hard as I can to slow down a little till I rolled to a stop. I had it towed to the dealership and they said it was the fuse that was put in was not good on these aftermarket parts. I bought the 4 lights and wired it in the cabin drivers side fuse box and I’ve had no problems since in the cabin you use a slot that didn’t have an existing fuse already. Other instal videos said take the inj fuse and put it into the add a fuse they provide under the hood which is what made things mess up.

John we recommend for any newer 4Runner to put our add a fuse into the tail position of the interior fuse box, or KDSS position.

They are just marking lights. They don’t throw enough light to add any forward visibility

Yes, that can happen, we are going to an open position or at least one that doesnt already have an add a fuse. A way to fix this issue is with a control panel like an SPOD or an Auxbeam. They help organize all the wiring and make it more streamlined when adding so many lights www.4runnerlifestyle.com/products/auxbeam-8-gang-led-switch-panel-kit-one-sided?_pos=4&_sid=cf76e6711&_ss=r

You would need to link it to the cabbing with cables OR use search for a led switch with on and off remote. Like those rgb ones.

Just cut the positive line and put an togle switch for on and off.

the lower black bumper isnt a part we sell but there are a wide range of them available out there or if youre ok with removing it some people will remove it and have it wrapped or coated black.

Should fit the SR5 grille just fine. But only on top. The bottom grille holes are bigger.

The fuse box lid under your hood has a diagram that indicates what the fuses are for.

@RetJetFxr I understand that. Read my original message. The guy in the video says "plug it in right here." Then he pauses the video and draws a red circle around the spot that he wants you to plug it into. He never states what that fuse spot is labeled. My fuse box is different from the one in the video. I need to know what that fuse location is labeled so I can find it on my fuse diagram...

@@benmorrison6511 I understand. I actually installed these in both my new 4Runner and new Tacoma. In the 4Runner I had to plug the add-a-fuse into one of the two low beam headlight fuses (under the hood), and the tacoma I got a little creative due to the grill style, but I used the INJ fuse so the lights would come on at engine start. In the 4Runner, the INJ fuse sits too high to where there's no room to plug in the add-a-fuse and put the lid back on. In both cases, I still had to cut a notch into the fuse box lid so I wouldn't pinch the wire.

Because of how the lower grill is set up there just isn't a current way to snap them into place, I will add that video idea to the list so we can get that out for y'all

They fit perfectly into mine. I know it seems silly, but try flipping the lights upside down from the way you had it initially. They're identical, I know, but this worked for me.

I'm interested in knowing the same. Which fuse should be used to get the lights to turn on with headlights?

I have not. There is a guy on you tube with his white 2020 Pro with raptor lights. He has not posted the video yet how to hook them up. His name is Chris.

Plug it into the big fuse box in the engine compartment. Look for the fuse marked 10A INJ

The only way we know of is to find one off a lot or from another 4runner that is either the same color or have it paint matched.

Nope....i just hatevtye fact it on all the time when car start and I can't just use when ever I want

Im wondering the same thing. My headlights' DRL fuse tap seems to be the only fuse that I can plug into that actually turns the lights on and off with the car. The other fuse locations just keep the raptor lights on even when the 4Runner is off. I can do what he did in the video but then my fuse box's cover wont be able to go back on with that big fuse tap coming out of it. Lol talk about rough day

@@xy0n28 They literally pass up the ground in the engine bay. Strip off that wire loom or tape or whatever it is and connect it to the ground in the engine bay near the battery.
