as for tattoos... this is going to be a long one. almost sorry about that wheein has at least seven tattoos (potentially up to 9, but no proof on two of them). two of these tattoos are shared with hwasa first up, the two friendship tattoos with hwasa: they both have 'resonance' tattooed on the back of an ankle and both have 'caddo' (meant to mean 'friendship') on the sides of their neck. wheein has it on the left side, hwasa on the right, so when they stand in their usual order of moonbyul - solar - wheein - hwasa, they can see the tattoo when look at each other wheein also has 'life is short, art is long' in french on her left inner forearm, one of the signs of her love of art. she also has 'live life long' in spanish just below her right collarbone, a phrase she saw in the artwork of a female mexican artist who inspired her she's also got her mother's english name (sophy) tattooed on her left index finger and, the last two guaranteed tattoos are both celebrations of her solo album releases. the one on her right bicep is her portrait from the cover of her album, 'magnolia' (which is just her song "easy"), and she recently got a butterfly on her right forearm to celebrate the release of 'soar'. the portrait is really special to her, since she painted the background used for 'magnolia', then took a photo in front of it and digitally drew in the flower in her mouth, and finally sketched a version of that that became the tattoo there's a chance she's got 'malandra' on her right index finger, since she said she really wanted to do that after discovering what the name meant when she used it as her brazilian name while the girls where in brazil and, some people think the mole under her left eye might be a tattoo, added since the other three have unique facial moles. no proof on that one, but figured i'd mention it just in case hwasa has five tattoos, two of which are shared with wheein she's also got 'maria' (her catholic name) tattooed on the back of her neck the last two tattoos often get mistaken for one, and both of them are shared with other people, though none are in mamamoo. she's got 'paradise is where you are' on her right forearm, and next to that is a triquerta that is often taken to be part of the quote, though it was added later. one of these tattoos she shares with a former trainee friend (you meet this friend on the episode of 'i live alone' where hwasa is first driving her new car) that was meant to be the fifth member of mamamoo but left before they debuted. the other tattoo is shared with a circle of friends she had in high school (that didn't include wheein) moonbyul has at least four tattoos she's got a sketch of her immediate family on the back of her right upper arm and 'don't forget to love yourself' (in french) on her left forearm the last two tattoos are on her right leg, on the inner ankle is an upside down side profile of herself. she says this is to remind herself to empty her mind whenever she's worrying about something the final one is just above the outer ankle, a timeline with several important dates to her 06:19 (mamamoo's debut date. and also the day she got a tattoo with a friend), 19:92 (her birth year), 20:07 (the date she started preparing for her dream and the date she met her friend minji) i just love that, while all three have multiple tattoos, none of them are just random 'hey, this could be cool' but instead, every one is an important symbol to the woman that got it. ...and wheein seems to be a tattoo addict solar doesn't have any tattoos, since she says she doesn't like pain and needles scare her. it could also be because of her buddhist upbringing. either way, the other three members say they really want a group tattoo, but they're not going to push solar into doing it. they absolutely will drop everything and go get them together if yong ever suggests it, though

The mark under Wheein's left eye is a mole. In the recent behind the scenes video on Mamamoo's RU-vid channel about the Hip MV it is mentioned by Wheein that they painted it gold and that it makes it look like a piercing for the scenes where she is the musician/composer. It is clear to see in the video that it is actually a raised lump.
Some context around Hwasa's song, "Be Calm", the song you reacted to at around 23:58. Her uncle, who was like a second father to her, passed away in September 2017. Be Calm is a song that was dedicated to him. The lyrics were written completely by her, and she also took part in composing the song. I remember reading a tweet saying "Be Calm" wasn't a good translation for the Korean title "덤덤해지네" and that "덤덤해지네" had more of a meaning of losing feeling and becoming numb, rather than becoming calm. I don't know Korean well enough to confirm that but from the lyrics of the song, I do feel like "numb" is a better word to portray the song. This song is one of the few songs that have actually made my eyes water. It's ironic because this song about being numb is one of the few things that bring me out of my own numbness, even if only for a short while. Anyhow, thanks for the reaction! Yesss she does have tattoos. 7 to be exact. -She drew the design of the one on her arm herself, cos shes good in arts as well. She alrdy has two on her right arm. Yes, 25 is WheeIn's solo song from the White Wind album. I can't wait for WheeIn Day to happen! Also, I am glad that you have noticed how good her dancing is. WheeIn was not my first bias in Mamamoo. But as I watched their Immortal Songs performances, my eyes kept being drawn to this great little dancer. She always has superb body control and is always in balance. She reminds me of another great Kpop dancer who is the same way ... Taemin. I wish they would do a collab so everyone could see it.

That was fun. Thanks for giving me an excuse to watch their solo stages again. I-moomoos would be lost without the dedicated subbers and other moomoos who post MMM videos, often at the risk of their yt channel. They're wonderful. 💖 At this rate it will take you a year to get through Mamamoo's catalog of group, solo and collab songs, besides some of the classic live performances and tv & radio appearances. Here's a suggestion: add a new series called Solo Sundays or whatever day works for you, and on Mondays when you're in the mood for a full album react to them in chrono order. For the albums you can watch MVs when they're available and lyric videos for the b-sides and if you ask for extra suggestions moomoos will let you know if there are special live performances of songs on each album you shouldn't miss, such as their tv music show debut stage for Mr Ambiguous or the part change version of Um Oh Ah Yeah or the time moomoos made MMM cry while performing Love Lane or the live rock version of Decalcomanie with Onewe as the backup band or when they invited a drag dance troupe to join them for You're the Best on a year end tv music show or ...
funny thing about bad girl hwasa and the group's debut... she's got short hair early on precisely because of her rebelliousness. they all had long hair pre-debut and the ceo asked them to not do anything with their hair while they were trying to figure out concepts and images and such... and the day after he asked that, hwasa walked in with hair cut nearly to her scalp and said "ceo, do you like my new haircut?"
Be Calm was a song she wrote for her late-uncle. There's a lot of meaning in her entire solo stage, there's so much you didn't really get since you're still a relatively new moo but some research or asking veteran moos will help you out a lot. Originally it was a 5 member group but the other member left literally right before their debut. So i had to rearrange things. They still keep in touch with her. And that 5th member also could blow. She had some chops on her as well.

Twit was one of the most successful songs of this year, and she promoted it on music shows. Her collab last year with Loco was huge as well. Side projects are more what I'd call her other recent collab with Woogie "In The Fall".

I loved it!!! as always. I'm not a very old moo, I knw them from a couple of months. But I know many things about them, because obviously I'm addicted to them now!! they got me into Kpop, and i'll never regret it. hwasa stage was fire, it was a conference worthy about self development. in my personal opinion, I feel like wheein wanted to be an artist, hwasa wanted to be an icon and moonbyul and solar wanted to be successful singers/performers. it's just the impression I got from watching their work. and I think they all did amazing jobs and they are all talented all-rounders. I really enjoyed watching all the content with other moomoos(like Jen) or by myself. Great reaction!!!!
So many things for you to catch up on.... At some point you should go back and start at the beginning. Heck, they had a music video that was a commercial for a cell phone that was even great. I jsut say whichever one is singing when people ask me about a bias, they are all so incredible. well then, i absolutely did not expect this so early. barely even waited until midnight your time to put it up. guess you were that impatient for more mamamoo, huh also, just because you called moomoos your angels... there are two subunit songs you need to check out (...well, i guess three now). the official subunits for mamamoo are 'angel line' (solar and wheein) and 'rap line" (moonbyul and hwasa) and they held a contest between themselves a few years ago. both groups released a song at the same time ("angel" and "dab dab"), with whichever team not doing as well with sales having to do a penalty of eating super spicy pork on camera. both songs were also performed live at their concert that year and then, this past year, the unofficial subunit of wheesa finally released a duet together, "loving one person" that got performed live on sketchbook

"Be Calm" was actually the song at the very end of the Starry Night mv. She wrote it thinking about her late Uncle whom she was extremely close to. A while back, mamamoo was in a minor car accident, and her uncle somehow found out and told Hwasa's dad to call her. Not long after that, her uncle passed in a car accident himself. I have the concert DVD, and its a recording of the 3rd day (Hwasa's fancam was from the 1st day). After singing this, she tried to mention him, but had to stop cause she almost started crying...
oh, and on wheein's leg... that's not a bruise (as others have pointed out). many call it a birthmark or beauty mark or the like, but she said when she was a kid she burned her leg there with...a pot or something (i forget the details) and that's a scar from it
