C’mon bro, you got those new rotors so greasy once you got them on the truck. Change out those dirty gloves or use a shop rag. Pro tips: throw a lug nut on one of the studs after you put the new rotor on to hold it in place while you put the bracket and caliper with pads on. Loosen the lid on your break fluid reservoir to relieve some pressure before you reset the calipers. Makes it easier to push the piston back in. Also for the front duel calipers, use one of the old break pads flush against both pistons while you push them back in with your caliper reset tool. It’ll push them in together instead having to go back and forth on each of them. Use a little locktite on the bolts that holds on the bracket. Inform your viewers about the break in process. And lastly, you really should use jack stands for safety.
? Instead of using the piston kit, just use one of the old brake pads and place it against the pistons and grab a C-Clamp and tighten it down until it bottoms out against he back of the caliper.(Clamps available at any hardware store or auto store for a lot less than a complete piston kit)
Hahaha Dodge? That name is not on it anywhere I think you mean Ram. I wanted to ask is Amazon a good place to buy the brake pads?? Need to get my Ram done here shortly.
Force of habit. Yes we meant Ram. I would say yes it is especially if you're trying to save some money. 9 times out of 10 it'll be at least a few dollars cheaper on Amazon.
