You mentioned the mk5 and mk6. I had a mk4 Jetta, 2001 and it did the same thing. It’s Volkswagon, across-the-board. Mine just came down in my 2011 GTI. I’m going to pull mine out and plasti-dip it. I’m not putting another liner back in
Got some sport line springs myself right now and deciding if I want to lower it soon. Also what shocks did you run when you lowered it or any other things you changed when lowering it
Ride quality was definitely a little worse but not horrible. You just feel more of the road (bumps etc) and it's a little more bouncy. And i got the kit from Eibach that included the shocks and struts. I think I bought if off LMR or AM. And I got maximum mototsport caster camber plates
Sorry guys but this is "shadetree mechanics". One example= Hi perf engs run warmer. Your UPGRADED THERM Increases OPER TEMP FROM ABOUT 150⁰ TO 180⁰. You dont want to run it "as cool as possible" as stated on your video. WORDS MATTER. GET IT RIGHT
didn't even do the break in phase lol idle & allow engine to reach op temp, then increase to 2500 rpm for a couple of minutes allow the engine to cool n then drive lightly for 5 minutes...
Props for doing a great job man, i watched videos of guys removing lights and getting washer fluid everywhere, you can tell you are abit apprehensive at first but you take the few seconds to approach it logically, car looks great btw :)
ANY truck needs body rake with the ass end a couple inches higher. That is absolutely just common sense. A truck that sits level looks all wrong and those idiots that are raking the body with the front high are just downright retarded redneck hillbillies.
Not sure if you knew you gotta take the e brake motor off the caliper and pop the cover off and use a tool to wind the motor/piston back that way you don't need vagcom/obd11/dealer.
This is a very good deal my 04 mustang GT automatic dark shadow gray with 193,000 miles is going to need a replacement engine and to buy a long block and have it put in cost a little more so when the engine goes bad I think I will build it or look for a 5.0 maybe gen 1 or 2 swap if I keep the car
Either option would be a good one! I personally love how the 2v sounds that's why I went with building it and also the coyote swap is very overdone IMO
Do you think it’s possible to replace the condenser with just removing the bumper and collision bar and the white clips.? I need to replace the condenser but I cannot find any good video for this. If possible it’s favorable to not remove all the things for the radiator or intercooler. Thank you in advance
I loved the not needed the fob in your hand to open doors..but what I'm having problems with is my trunk! There's a button on the trunk but I've only got it to work a few times..is there something I'm doing wrong? I don't want to keep opening my door pushing the button or digging fob out my pocket
Hell yeah Dude!! This is exactly what I was looking for!! But now im stuck lmao do i buy pads and rotors for the 99 dual piston calipers i have laying around for my 94 Sn95 (believe it or not, the new edge dual piston caliper is an upgrade over the single piston caliper on the earlier model Sn95) to hold me over till i don't mind spending the money on this brembo swap? Or should i just suck it up and start buying parts for the brembo swap out the gate? Lmao either way, my shit needs brakes ASAP!! One of the only thing's along with a couple other parts i have laying around that i want to install before i put her back on the streets😫😫🤣
If I was in your shoes I'd just suck it up and start buying parts for the brembo swap! Might as well put all your money towards that off the bat and don't have to go back and do brakes again. It's definitely worth the money
I have an MK3 TTS, very close setup too what I have, and the most helpful video on RU-vid to instal my Unitronic intercooler. I also installed the charge pipes from Unitronic since I was in the same area. Thank you.
Hey! Love the vid. I got the same exact bumper before seeing this vid and I'm currently in the process of installing it. Did you use the silver/black clips provided with the bumper? If so, did you place them on the insert tabs? Thanks!
Thank you! And I just asked Austin (owner of S3) and he said he doesn't remember any silver or black clips with the new bumper. He had an older revision of the bumper so maybe the new one has these clips you're referring to
