Spending 4th of July at Great America and already noticing a big difference after merging with Cedar Fair. #sixflagsgreatamerica #sixflags #batman #superman #theflash #joker #rollercoaster #themepark #4thofjuly #walkandtalk #vlog
I’m not gonna lie I feel it’s different when I went to Six flags great America 2 years ago for a school band field trip there. I remember the pizza being the same price but with fries. And I still go to Six Flags and now the pizzas are 18 bucks but only for the slice.
That's me in the back of the first train of the day on Whizzer. I was also on the second train of the day for The American Eagle (which originally opened in 1981). Sky Strike actually had its media day about two weeks ago and is technically officially open. While it wasn't open on the 3rd or 4th, it was open on the 5th.
I was so confused until he started talking about the parks "owned by County Fair"! I knew that Kentucky Kingdom is on a state fairground but it's no longer affiliated with Six Flags and I knew about the situation in California with California's Great America (which is a Cedar Fair Park but also purchased from Marriott). Then I realized he was just misspeaking.
Never been to SFGAm on a holiday. I was in Magic Kingdom on July 3rd in 2018 and it was SLAMMED. I was staying on property at Disney's Old Key West Resort and I had to wait for three buses to go back to the resort. I made my first trip to GA as a season passholder last week. I rode my parents' favorite rides (Sky Trek Tower for my mom and Whizzer for my dad). As the Peoplemover is my favorite ride at Magic Kingdom, I can see why my mom liked the tower. I'd forgotten how fun Whizzer was. It's not that thrilling but you get off riding it with a big stupid grin on your face. Best ride I got was in the back row on Viper. I was out of my seat diagonally.
I almost sat on back on Eagle, Viper is a blast! People mover is an absolute classic, I wish Disneyland still had it running I have to get to FL soon. Thanks for watching!
Damn that pizza looked good! Looks like you found the perfect day to avoid the early crowd. Last time I went to Great Adventure in NJ I was stuck upside down on the Batman coaster for 12 minutes and I only have been on one Coaster [Space Mountain] since.
Great video. Six Flags pass holder here. I really hope the passes in 2025 offer the option /add on price of Cedar Fair parks. Being in the Midwest that would open up a lot of options like Cedar Point and Worlds of Fun.
Thank you Ross, I think that should be an option too. How cool would that be to be able to go to everything :) Maybe allowing us to upgrade to no wait passes, Thanks for watching!
I spent the 4th up there this year and I had a great time, enjoyed the fireworks as well. Prices for food and drinks are ridiculous to say the least. Other than that, good times.
Fun time! I wonder if Six Flags will now be able to have Snoopy merchandise as Knox Berry Farms is one of the few approved merchandisers of the Charles Schulz estate Have a great day and looking forward to any deals you find this holiday weekend!
Man its been so long since ive been to that park. Waiting for my kiddos to get a bit older, so they can really experience it. Looked like a great time.
@@PDX7 I'm 42 now. Raging bull had just came out so it was around 1999-2000. 20 plus years. 12 would be a good age to start them. Nice video! I like the app with the wait times for the rides.
Man, primo's living up to its name . $17 for a slice a of pizza is primo ridiculous !!!!! That thing better of been outstanding lol. Great video to watch , i couldnt think of anything more american than watching a pd7 video on the 4th
Great tour man! Lots of cool stuff there! Sadly I think the train and maybe the Hall of Justice would be the only rides I could handle. lol Happy 4th of July Independence Day! Sadly mine was kind of dull as I just vegged at home and my wife is under the weather at the moment.
Hey Phil you’re always parking in the Robin parking lot 😂 You got to go on a ton of rides! I’m afraid of rollercoasters I like to have my feet on the ground lol. Keep up the daily videos! P.S. I was wondering how much pressure did you have to put on the Casinocade for it to start wobbling?
@@PDX7 Last year I expected big crowds when I went on the 4th of July and Halloween day. Each was lightly attended, especially with the weather on Halloween, but I did ride Goliath IN THE SNOW!!!
@@davegriffin5988 the 4th was pretty slow for a good portion of the day. The lines didn't really get out of control. I think the longest wait was for Yankee Clipper, er, I mean Aquaman. It was the only water ride that was open.
Lines were moving more efficiently getting people on and off quicker than the last 4 trips I’ve made this year. More training was in effect and better customer service, I think Six Flags will keep getting better and hopefully next is updating the general look of the park.
