i like the faster game speed early in the game when not too much is happening anyway, then normal game speed later on when there is more to see and cover
The screen resolution is better, I know when playing smaller is better, but watching casts is a lot easier on my old man eyes when you have it like this video.

It's a fan made Mod. One of the 3 that's still active. The other 2 being TA: Mayhem and TA: Twilight. In this case, the 2 main overall points are the rebalance of the official Tech 1 and Tech 2 units, and a very strong emphasis in Tech 3 and Tech 4 fan made unit additions. In fact Tech 4, was entirely introduced by this Mod. Hence the term "Escalation". Unlike the other 2 Mods, so much emphasis was placed on advanced big and super units, that if things are not resolved fairly quickly, the battle will escalate into weapons of mass destruction over a considerable period of time. And then, you have Beyond all Reason (BAR). Which is a fan made, spiritual successor of Total Annihilation.
@SSGLGamesVlogs can you help me get 998 manually installed. I did 993 auto but it's old. I've tried and tried to download 998 and copy the files. But it still always has 993. Idk what or how to unzip a file or if I even need to. I've tried discord, tutorial vids, I just can't get it. I'm not very tech savvy. 😢 Edit- I think esc is far better than bar due to the sheer variety of units/structures.
@@austinstoner6270 You got me. I only watch people play the TA Mods and BAR. I do still play TA vs the AI. But instead of getting a Mod or Unit Pack, I got each Unit individually, until I hit the max. That happened without adding Hovercraft, Sea and Seaplane units. Using editing tools, I changed those Units to make them fit, creating like a Mega Unit Pack. Every time I play, I try a different composition.
@SSGLGamesVlogs greatest rts game ever. Grandfather of the greats. I wish bar would have beyond all reason escalation. I love bar. But after playing escalation with its sheer unit variety I have a difficult time going back. Of course beyond all reason is still in development. So hopefully it'll get there. I really like sup com 1, some zero k too!
