@@VanLyf - Careful what you wish for! Fords are easy to repair, and Ford is profitable because they constantly need repairs. My F250 Diesel was in the shop 2-3 times a year, sometimes out of service for weeks, frequent tows, my ownership experience was NOT a fun one. When I was warned that the turbo on the thing was whining, which meant replacement soon, and the out of warranty cost was going to be $6,000 I sold it.

I have modified 2wd 2011. The first thing I would do if I had a 4wd verison is put a snorkel on it, as I know where the stock air intake is.

It’s on the list haha, I agree the intake is in a very precarious position, I’m trying to figure out whether I can make a 100 series snorkel work with it or if I need to build my own

@@VanLyf Maybe ask EnduroCo in Victoria. They did a HiAce 4x4 conversion with a snorkel.

Interested on how did you acquire that?....Is there much after market support, would love to see a lifted version.

Hi @wander5, there are a few dealers bringing these in from Japan, though I think there has been a recent regulation change which may have put a stop to it, there are some really cool modified ones going around and I’m hoping to build ours up to be more capable off road too, essentially all the parts except for the 4WD bits are the same as a Aussie delivered hiace

Braidwood/ Nerriga area is full of great 4wd areas and bush camping. There is a small mountain range that is between Braidwood and the Cooma that is at a small place called “Snowball” which reminded me of Washington state a little bit. Beautiful mountain pass that is a dirt highway, full of wonderful tall gum trees. A true treat if you ever plan to drive between the Snowies and Jervis Bay via Nowra.
