Just came across your videos I’m from New Zealand we do a lot of this in the South Island there are hundreds of trails always interesting to look at other countries
Thanks less! Welcome to the channel!! 👍 we have some great adventures plenty great days out videos and over variety on this channel too retro vids,4x4 Trials vids etc enjoy! 😎👍
I’ve fully watched this now and have to say ian and ash are the best members throttle mayhem have they work well as mates there Scotland trip was mint I’d like To see more of ian and ash with you guys
A fine example of the problems of going off road with open differentials. I am always amazed that front and rear locking differentials are not standard equipment on Land Rovers which sell themselves as the ultimate off road vehicle.
Yes it crazy that some of the boys are buying air lockers to compensate for that! Thanks for watching Hijet will take a look at your channel later! Hope you enjoy mine! 👍
An often asked question, the debate about articulation Vs diff locks. In reality diff locks and the required drive line upgrades are expensive, so simple won over. One reason why Toyotas and G Wagens cost so much more.
E-diffs and a fancy TC system have took over for landrover. since 2005 onwards they have all had a very good Terrain response and moved away from lockers, though most higher end ones come with a rear E-diff.
Another awesome day out. That lane where the Winches had to come out though... wow. I dont think I'd gave tried driving either of my discos up that. Not unless I had some major offset of the wheels to protect my panels as you buck about trying to find grip.
We’ve got some great ones left! They are slowly being regraded but there’s some cracking hidden gems that we know! Thanks for watching Mike hope you enjoy the channel!👍
I know this is an old comment but could you explain to me why in England a lot of lanes are vanishing? I've just recently got a 2006 Defender TD5 and been looking all around for lanes to go off-roading, but have really struggled to find much.
@@OutboundDiaries Go back pre 2000 and there were many green lanes (technically byways open to all traffic). The large and very wealthy landowners petitioned DEFRA to get these roads downgraded. In most cases they succeeded. Plenty of lies, corruption and money allegedly changed hands. After then, there were very few lanes left. These became overused and wrecked, then the local councils used their powers of to stop them up, something they continue to keep doing.
Nice vid seen it on throttle mayhems channel Massive fan of Ian and Lisa’s Been waiting on this kinda vid looks like you all had fun I’ll give you a sub
I’d like to see ash do it with out the lockers on Ian struggled but did most ash was triple locked so technically needed to only have the rear on. And the defender same great watch 2 favs
They come as standard on these Pajero’s don’t they? so why not use them? Be silly to struggle and break your truck just to be a big man and do without 🙄
That was a ripper of a track even though very tight. At the 2o min mark it was good to see them use a little right boot and commitment and he got thru it with no worries. At the 32 min mark it just goes to show what I meant by picking the right line. That first one had no probs with it yet the second truck had issues. The shogun was the only one that would have ever made those rocks steps. Some good committed drives though and another ripper of a video boys. 🤙😎🇦🇺 One quick question tho. Do the boys ever lower their tyre pressures coz that make one hell of a difference
Yes 🙌 Both groups together brilliantly done you actually look like you had a good time? I’m all Honestly throttle mayhem Have some good members and WWL do to so together you have made a good watch
@stevemiddlehurst847 there’s some really good routes around there start around brechfa to abergorlech forest and your in the middle you could go llandeilo to Llandovery or brechfa to Carmarthen etc
Wow! I don't do anything like you lot get up to, I load up with logs and go metal detecting, and it has ways pulled me and everything else out easily, but was always thinking about the underside damage. Thanks fortherepl
So it’s the face lift mk4 it’s been remapped prob 200bhp It’s now got old man emu suspension setup front and rear it’s got the center difflock and the super select gearbox / low box it’s lead pretty much every trip when he’s been available such a great vehicle only downside it’s it’s the long wheel base l200 has bit of a overhang but he has a HD rear bumper to protect the tub!..hope you enjoy the channel And vids! 😎👍
Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed the vid the pajero is triple locked so it’s got standard from manufacturer cdl / centre difflock But ash has added air lockers to the front and rear diffs!! So just crawls everywhere with great ease as it showed going up that rocky track 👌🏼👌🏼
If you look at the time 26:33 on the video, the guy in the safety vest is sitting right next to a big log. Why did it not occur to anyone to throw that thing in that bad hole where everyone's right front tire kept falling in and they couldn't get up? Are y'all not allowed to do that over there? Or was it just for the challenge?
I'm watching from Augusta, Georgia. If that had barbed wire on it that explains it. Too bad though, it would have made y'alls life a lot easier. @@ALL_4_WHEELS
Up in north Georgia, in the mountains, the trails are very similar to what you guys are dealing with. Lots of sticky mud, hills, streams and the like. Down in the southern part of the state the soil is much more sandy. Lots of mud, sandy trails and alligators. @@ALL_4_WHEELS
We don’t do paid guided tours we basically group mates go out once / twice a month but we have a Facebook group 700 members and we organise trips out for people to join!! We have some experienced leaders who will look after you on the day.. hope this helps??
