Thought we'd share some basic tips and advice with any 4x4 rookies. Don't need to be a professional to go off-road but some standard equipment and knowledge will prepare you for just about any situation. Enjoy!
Acts 2:38-39
38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

I've watched almost all of your videos. It's great to see you guys evolve and learn from mistakes. Don't let the negative comments by keyboard warriors bother you. You guys are out there, enjoying the outdoors and learning new skills. We were all there at some point. so many props to you guys for putting yourselves out there and taking us with you on the journey.

'Bigger tyres' Yeah we all want them :) Nicely driven and sound advice. One mod you'd seriously benefit from is a winch, the expense will easily pay for itself if you're not afraid to get out and use it. Winching is a great way to save damage and can be used to prevent rollover's as well. Something that is more affordable is bead lockers, they will allow you to use even lower pressures without problems. Like all 4bie owners though these things will come over time. My next mod is portal axles for that little extra lift, but here we have to have the gear box rebuilt and re-calibrate the speedometer to keep it road legal so it will be a while.

Great to hear that you guys are Christians. I am also a born again Christian. I have been thinking lately of buying a Fait Fullback which is the same spec as the Barbarian L200 except for the badges as Fait have been using l200's to try and get into the market. Can you give me your honest opinion on the reliability of these 4x4's as I think that they are class. I would be using it for going to the beach, out on building sites as my business and for towing a caravan through Europe. Would you recommend one of these

Darsey no 1 hey buddy nice to hear from you, we are both very happy with the cars, I've done 47000kms in mine and it hasn't had any problems so far, it goes very well on sand and in terms of towing bash tows a double axle trailer full of tools every day and it does just fine at that. I hope that's helpful for you, God bless!

Great videos guys, keep em coming. One question though, do you get hung up on that damper thing at the front of the rear diff centre, it seems kinda weird just having it hangin out there underneath. Also when's the black one going offroad again ?
@adventureaustralia1925
@adventureaustralia1925 7 лет назад
Steve Priesty hey buddy I've removed the damper, well more like crushed it going over a rock haha but I still got hung up on that first obstacle on the diff. Not enough clearance on the diff, the black triton will be back on the road tomorrow but it's going to Mitsubishi for a checkup as the insurance company did a terrible job and did not fix the engine properly we found water still in parts of the engine and exhaust so it's hard to say when it'll be back out with us.. more than likely a couple of weeks! But we're hoping to get it out as soon as possible.

@adventureaustralia1925
@adventureaustralia1925 6 лет назад
Normac Enterpises hey buddy I think keep the balancer on when on the road.. I would have kept mine on for the road only I crushed it on a rock. With the combination of mud tyres and no balancer there's definitely more in-car vibrations which can be abit annoying. But definitely take it off when you head out it is a problem. Congrats on the car and God bless you too hope to see you out there some time !

hey guys loving the video just a quick question what size tyres are you running on your tritons and what is the rear bar on the titanium one. thanks keep on wheeling
@adventureaustralia1925
@adventureaustralia1925 6 лет назад
Ben Stark hey bud the black triton has 265/70/17 bfg ko2s and the titanium triton has had a tire change it now runs 33" (285/70/17) Hankook dynapro mts. The rear bar is one I picked up off ebay from PS 4x4 but I don't recommend it as the brush bars are very thin and not too strong. The main section is good however if you're after something similar, MCC has the same style just much more heavy duty on the brush bars. Cheers for the comment

@adventureaustralia1925
@adventureaustralia1925 7 лет назад
jasontheonlineguy hey buddy where are you buying it from ? I personally would reccomend the auto, much better for the hills and steep spots where you can't afford to let a clutch out and loose the power that's at the wheels and you still get to use the sequentials when you want to keep it in first gear low range. Hope that helps your decision.

@Up-CloseReviews
@Up-CloseReviews 7 лет назад
The traction control system in the triton isn't the best. supposed to be a locked centre sending power to the wheels with the most grip and cutting power to the wheels slipping, but it fails a lot of the time. Hilux sr5 has a much better system.

Are you guys using all of the factory traction control? Factory rear diff lock and centre diff locked should let you pretty much idle up most of that stuff. Let the traction control help you.
@adventureaustralia1925
@adventureaustralia1925 7 лет назад
Matthew Lax hey buddy the traction control isn't the best option in the triton as it cuts off power then we're left stuck on an incline. On a downhill or near level ground it is ok but terrible for climbing. Also we do not have rear factory lockers, only the exceed model has a rear diff locker and the centre lock still keeps the diffs open. Thanks for your comment !
@andy37372
@andy37372 7 лет назад
Adventure Australia1 nah man the traction control does work in those spots where your lifting wheels because it doesn't just cut power it'll use the brakes to grab the wheel in the air & send power to the opposing wheel trust me I gotta triton too & its the same offroad traction control as the pajero, true it is useless in sand & mud though because it cuts too much power but crawling up rocky stuff it works a treat on
@adventureaustralia1925
@adventureaustralia1925 7 лет назад
Andrew Caldicott I've tried it a few times in those situations I even tried it on that first rut I went up it just cuts power. But I'll look into it and get back to you!
@ProofBenny
@ProofBenny 7 лет назад
Mate the key to using traction control is to slowly apply power and give the system time to work out whats going on, so you might be skidding for 5 to 10 seconds and then you will move forward.
@adventureaustralia1925
@adventureaustralia1925 7 лет назад
Benjamin Dollisson yeah I understand what you're trying to get at, thing is I've tried it many many times on near level and small inclines it is definitely fine but when it gets steep such as the first obstacle in the video it just climbs abit and slips again and it just isn't helpful, but I do use it as my first option nearly every time and if it's not working I just go first gear low and locked centre it's what mainly gets me over the steeper things. But I'll be doing some more research and trying it out. Thanks for the advice!
