They work by translating Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), the language used to create web pages. These pages can contain various types of content such as videos, images, text, or audio, all of which are displayed on our screens after being processed by the web browser.
Now, let's talk about some key features of web browsers. Firstly, they typically have a homepage and can store our favorite websites as bookmarks. They also keep a record of our browsing history. Another crucial feature is the ability to navigate backward and forward, which is extremely useful. We can also open multiple web pages using tabs, a feature that enhances efficiency.
Web browsers utilize cookies, hyperlinks, and JavaScript. Cookies store data, hyperlinks allow us to navigate between different websites or pages, and JavaScript is a scripting language that enhances functionality. Opening links can be done in two ways: either in a new tab by using Ctrl + click or in the same tab by simply clicking on the link.
Visualizing this, you'll notice a typical web browser layout includes an address bar, tabs, and a section for storing favorites. These features collectively contribute to efficient web browsing.
