I LOVE the black gloves like that! I guess to some extent they look like dress gloves, but they always reminded me of some bad ass assassin from a James Bond movie :)
these are one pair I use in the prison. Great tactile function, weapons manipulation and defensive/combat DRIVING. If I have to go in a cell on an inmate, I wear Hatch guarded knuckle style.
:D Funny, "cut youself more than anybody else" reminded me of long past visit to some carpenters workshop. Everyone working there was finger or fingers missing. head man got one such wound badly healed, with bone protruding out.
@dig6dog Of course, its always nice to try them on if you can, because hands are so specific to the person, but Nutn has big old monster hands (they REALLY are enormous) and he usually gets a large in these. Hope that helps. -- Veri
Thats a short video Nutn, whats up with that? I am left wanting more! Good review, I also have the same feeling towards black, not a huge fan! Keep up the good work!!! THANKS AGAIN!!!
They look like good duty gloves. A lot of time duty gloves have to be limited to black as it goes with all kinds of uniform types you might have to wear.
I agree NnF, gloves are KEY for tactical duty. I feel invincible once I get my azz-whoopin' gloves on. I have two pair, one is a set of (womans' , truth be told) driving gloves my wife got from Macy's ( I think) and the other is a pair of bicycling gloves I got from LLBean's when i was in highschool. They're Specialized brand and fingerless. They're red and grey in color so I really only use them for informal work and training. I even take them to the gym occasionally!
Regimenservas (cont.) - but (as seen) we can get pretty passionate defending a guy we all like so much, so I'd be cautious with the wording. Sorry if you've been feeling hate, it's not supposed to be like that.
i cant find a decent pair of gloves for less than 40 euros here, so its kinda hard to follow your philosophy :) must be the smaller market here, but they really rip you off where they can. I hope my oooold black leather gloves hold for one more year (im sure it wont be for much longer) i love your gear reviews, keep em comin nutnfancy!
My concern is gloves that are good for reloading, yesterday i was shooting my friends 9mil carbine Hi-Point and it was under 30 degrees out. I was beating up my thumbs reloading the 100 rounds I shot. The mags seemed to have strong springs and rounds 9 and 10 were almost impossible to get in there. I am looking for gloves that will stand up to lots of loading and keep my hands warm while shooting in cold weather both mid western and the extremes of Alaska where i grew up.
To everybody who disagrees with my comment: That's fine. I wasn't bashing NutnFancy, I enjoy watching his videos. My comment was simply an observation and critique that i now know not many people agree with. To the person who said to keep my bad comments to myself: I wasn't posting a bad comment, It's called constructive criticism. To all other opponents of those exercising free speech, and are offended by a different opinion than theirs, please feel free to move to Communist China.
could the Lycra wrist band be used to clean glasses? that what i always used them for. gotta make sure you didn't use them to wipe your nose earlier that day.
Regimenservas - I won't rip you or thumbs down you. The real answer is that he is deliberately unscripted so it will be more natural, that's just the choice he's made, and there may be some other downsides to that such as being a little longer than strictly necessary. As is, Nutnfancy generally does many takes of one video trying to get it just right, so I think he's approached the limit of how much time he can put in per video. Valid, helpful criticisms should be acceptable, ...
If you dont like it just shoot your own video but keep your bad comments for you, most people here like the length of his videos, I could watch them over and over again and I did for some of them.
However, those gloves do have nomex in them making them fire resistant. The gloves in this video are backed by lycra, and not fire resistant. Basically any well designed tactical glove with nomex is just going to be more expensive. Even the bare-bones nomex gloves issued by the Army are 30-40 dollars a pair. Do most shooters or even soldiers need nomex? No, but if I were deployed in today's battlefield where IEDs are the main threat, I would definitely want a nomex glove.
I'm in the market for some gloves that I can use during winter. It doesn't snow or anything here it just gets chilly and windy so I don't need heavy duty winter gloves. Do these do a relatively decent job with warmth? I don't need em to keep my hands toasty, I can deal with a little cold, I just don't want my hands locking up cuz they're too cold.
I like your videos, but they really are VERY long. Maybe script them a bit better and you could cut the length by at least a quarter. You won't necessarily loose any content because you tend to repeat yourself quite a bit.
Josh River ANY time. I have these gloves as well and love them. They are not really meant for heavy duty work like axe-swinging, changing an intake manifold or anything like that - but they make AWESOME shooting and driving gloves. I use mine at work when I have to grip up an inmate or just transport them from one end of the facility to another. If you need a heavier duty glove, go with the Mechanix versions.
dude, it is possible fohm to pick up another gun, i was not reffering to the gun itself, rather to his hands and the gloves HOLDING the gun. ptch stupid youtube people, READ THE WHOLE FRICKEN COMMENT BTW
