My first Sig is a P226 manufactured 1989. Still have it by my bed. Needs new nite sites. I prefer my P229 Elite in 357Sig simply because I'm more familiar with it as I carried it as a backup to a G31 Glock for years. Both the P229 and G31 have adaptions for 9mm & 40S&W. Makes them great with being able to use what's available and inexpensive, comparatively. Love the P226 though.
The Marlin camp 9 is the greatest of all time. These newer 9mm carbines will never be able to take it's throne. It is a real mans rifle, not one of those new-age zoomer tacticool rifles (really lame). Actually, those newer tacticool rifles with mlok, glock mags, and other lame features are quite embarrassing and almost shameful. If the Camp 9 was Bruce Jenner (USA olympic athlete), those newer carbines would be Caitlin Jenner (embarrassment).
Mine has been very reliable with all different types of ammo. Have over 2000 rds through it. First thing i did was adjust ejector, also upgraded extractor and firing pin just like my original 15-22 rifle which is also very reliable.
@nutnfancy Is the boat dealership now called "Boat Specialists" now? In Ventura? I'm looking at a 4.8 and since you give your vendor such high praise I'd love to check them out! Thanks~
Always fun spending time with nutn. Oddly I did not find this video on your patron. For me the only reason to have this firearm is the availability to find some 9mm to use. So for small to large game, as long as u have rounds your good. But in a camp, if you get bushwhacked, they will be using rifles and you will be using 9mm. You will lose every time in this scenario. So the min. I would bring to a camp for game and defense will be a 556 in any flavor you want. In some of the comments I read... The amount of fun you get from shooting 9mm does not correlate to your survivability in difficult circumstances. So I boggle at the absurdity of fun in the times when survivability is low. I will have long been dispatched before I ever make to a camp with a 9mm rifle. lol
My purpose for getting the fpc is too have something in all the common cartridges. 9mm 5.56 and .308. I have all 3 now but no pistol. Guess imma have too get one in 10mm.
Its hard to hate such an intersting firearms company but when it comes to Kel Tecs I stick to there classic small CCW pistols like the P-32 and P-11. Two guns that have been proven already from decades of shooting. There new stuff as interesting and cool of an idea it is the guns are going to have there growing pains. I predict the KS7 will EVENTUALLY be reliable and I agree that AINT the way to do it.
The issue with the live and let live idea is it is a slogan thrown at people and groups who are already actively harming you. They won't leave you alone to live your life and thats why your begging for them to. By the time you have to ask to live you life in accordance with your principles you are already past the point of conversation.
I have 4 of these, 1 pistol 3 rifles. One for each child. All purchased within the last 2 years. All of them have ran near flawlessly. CCI is def more reliabkle than Rem or WB. Not sure about specific round count on each one but at least 2000 rounds between them. Probably over 70% suppressed. Fantastic guns imo.
I bought the Marlin 39A years ago, being 74 years old and shot ground squirrel and rabbits. I thought it had been stolen and bought another one. When I moved I found the one I thought I had lost. All my Children were taught how to shoot with this gun. After my Dad passed away I inherited the Marlin in the 45-70 . And when I bought a Home in Alaska I bought the stainless version of the Marlin 45-70 . I have always loved the level action rifles . I inherited the Winchester in the 405 which was given to Teddy Rosevelt by Marlin.
If the Turks could make their shotguns as good as their handguns they would make A LOT of companies really really nervous…just saying. I just spent $1049 on a Baretta A300 Ultima Patrol. I would have gladly dropped $450 on a MAC if it didn’t crash after 500 rounds! If you fix that you will clean up!!!!
The city's late LEO 5904s & 5906s came with 17 or 18 round mags. Out of the box the 59s, 901s, 5904s, 6904s, 5906s could fit a 17 round Mecgar magazine but they came with 15 round S&W mags, like all X90X 9mm guns did out of the box. The later gen 3 S&W mags were all made by Mecgar anyway. The H&K P7 was still north of $980 in the 1980s. We could buy the S&Ws all day at any Smitty's GROCERY store. I am seeing a lot of Model 39XXs with broken frames now.
I bought my PX4 Storm Type-F in .45 almost seven years ago fucking love it. Like many, I initially thought it was pretty unsightly, but she's grown on me. Shoots gently, is pretty accurate for having only a 4" barrel, grip is reasonably comfy, and it'll eat damn near any ammo you feed it. AND THE SAFETY FEATURES! At this point in my owning it, my only complaints are 1) There are no extended slide/barrel options that I know of 2) Holster options are criminally lacking for it, especially drop-leg or MOLLE compatible systems. All-in-all, best handgun I could have bought for a first pistol at the same time as becoming a new dad.
Two of my hunting buddies have SFAR rifles, both are run suppressed. One is a 16" and the other a 20", both have done the same thing more than once out pig hunting. We keep a carbon fiber rod in the truck now.....
Fun fact that Springfield is made in turkey 🇹🇷 just like the rest of the remakes the best one is most definitely inglis no mim parts and no magazine disconnects
Here comes all the fudd old generation boomer rants about how his M4 is superior. Even though the MX7 is more advanced and harder hitting in every possible way
The feeding problem of all 15-22 seems to be its ejector design. The ejector needs to be frequently adjusted (bent slightly) such that it rides as closely to the bolt reciprocating path as possible. Often time the gap between the ejector and the bolt is slightly too large which causes ejection failures that leads to feeding problems.
Taurus has come a long way and I own pistols and wheel guns. PT 709 slim is probably a great gun. . the one I have stove pipes nearly once per magazine, after lube, cleaning, and various ammo.
Since the upper and lower are billet, it would been cool if they had done a left hand side charging handle rather than just sticking with the standard ar charging handle.
Im split on this. On the one hand, I get it, a gun should function. Its one thing that kept me from buying an sfar for a long time. On the other hand, If the mfr has an AGB, then it should be used if they say it should be used. That is how its made. Something like the M&P 10 is made to run with no gas modification, the sfar isnt.
This old video is still getting comments so I'll share my two cents. I call the rifle the SUX-16 because it _does_ suck. I recently bought two SU-16C's. I was unable to properly zero either of them without shoving the rear peep sight almost all the way to the left meaning the barrels were out of clock. I put a small bubble level on the rear peep sight and centered the bubble. I then put the bubble on the front sight and it floated all the way to the right. Out of clock! At the range, both rifles experienced excessive failure to feeds and failures to eject. One even got a double feed. After less than 100 rounds the recoil spring tube blew up on one rifle and it fractured into two pieces. I just got them back from Keltec. On both rifles the BCG was replaced as well as the recoil spring tube and rod claiming they were improperly heat treated. Nothing was done about the out of clock barrels. Keltec insists they are within specifications no matter how ridiculous the look. I've yet to take the rifles back to the range as I have little interest in firing them, but confidence is high that when I do they will still perform poorly. I'd sell them, but it wouldn't be fair to someone else to burden them with these turds. I'm not a Keltec hater. I own an RDB and a SUB2k (MCARBO) and absolutely love them. They have performed flawlessly for years. I just despise the SU-16.
Love you Nutn. Everyone else might throw their reviews out there, but I always look forward to see yours the most, because I know that in a YT of sponsorships you’ll still tell me the truth. Great! Or Suck! Doesn’t matter. Really can’t wait to see your channel come to life again as it was in the early days, I have a feeling that YT is throttling you because your videos always deserve more views!
Your groups on the SAVAGE, AXIS II PRECISION, might’ve been off because your Picatinny rail screws might’ve been loose. I’ve heard a lot of people say that they’re came loose brand new out the box. mine came loose so I torqued it down to 20 foot pounds and put blue tile on and my groups look really good.
I always knew where the firearms were “hidden” in the house when I was a kid, especially my dad’s .40 cal Beretta pistol. Hell we didn’t have a real gun safe until I was in high school. Nutn is correct, we always find our parents “hidden stuff.” I never had an accident because my dad and my late grandpa taught me gun safety as all responsible parents did at an early age. Can’t thank them enough for teaching me how to be responsible with firearms. I pass those lessons on to other grown adults to this day. Not all of us millennials are anti gunners
