Thanks for these recommendations! I will have to check them out. I have a quick question for you. What are your thoughts on RX dog food? My vet has our pittie on RX food because he had to have surgery to remove cystine stones. I do NOT like the RX food. It stinks and seems to have little to no nutrition. I feel as though it's not doing him any favors. I will say that we've not had an issue with stones reforming but I'm not 100% sure that can be associated with the RX food. Just wanted some opinions. My vet looks at me as if I am the devil when I ask about switching him off of his RX food. I OF COURSE want to do whatever is best for him. Cost is not an issue but his quality of life is! Appreciate anything you can tell me.

You‘re welcome Christa! 🥰 it sounds like you might benefit from finding a holistic/integrative vet, even just for consults. Cystine stones can be a very dangerous, so managing his nutrition is not simple. I would recommend you check out the Chi institute and look for one of the graduates in their food therapy program 😊
