Home is where my animals are. Let me share my knowledge on holistic health, integrative medicine, natural nutrition, and lifestyle tips, so that you can make educated decisions for you and for your animal family.
I’m so happy to have stumbled upon your videos! They are very informative! I’ve been following the guidance of Dogs Naturally Magazine which is another very good source of natural resources for dogs. There are so many poisons marketed by Big Pharma and unfortunately our veterinarians are indoctrinated as well. Thank you again!
I'd say compared to the seizures my setter had from the pharmaceutical chemicals that attack the nervous system applying DE outdoors with pets head upwind, using care to keep it away from nose & eyes it is a much better alternative. Study was wrt miners who had a lot of exposure.
We feed primal raw frozen nuggets to our Jack/chi. I recently had the exact same experience. We stopped the raw for a bit and the shedding was insane, there was yellowing of his fur, his fur was not as soft and bathroom changes. Was always planning on going back to raw but it’s amazing to see the differences.
It is cheap to buy not like a veterinarian bill and paying for medication they loosing money so tell people it will hurt or kill your cats or you just get food grade. You are a fool if you do not try it. I Have 2 horses 18 chicken and 2 dogs 2 cats that live inside 3 are outside there are all fine I have been using it for a good 20 years.
I am hard of hearing and the background music made it harder to understand. Please lower the music and add caption for those of us who are hard of hearing.
Such great explanations! But WHY is the crate the size for a Yorkshire terrier when your cat is a ginormous fluffy tiger? 😄 Seriously though…It must be very uncomfortable. Why would you not buy a larger crate so your cat is comfortable? Could probably speed up the process of acceptance massively.
It’s not really about the safe handling of raw meat. Like you say, people handle raw meat everyday in the preparation of their own meals. It’s more about the animal shedding the bacteria to humans. Although raw feeding can be beneficial, it isn’t without significant risks. I almost lost 2 dogs to raw feeding. Back in the 90’s when the BARF diet first got popularized by Drs Billinghurst and Lonsdale, I started feeding my German Short Hair Pointer following their diets. I was feeding raw chicken wings and necks. My dog suffered a perforated intestine and had to have emergency surgery and barely survived. A few years later, I tried feeding my rescue greyhound a well known and highly rated commercial raw diet and she suddenly started having projectile diarrhea and she almost died of sepsis from e-coli and salmonella.
Used Advantage on my cats but one has a really, really bad reaction where he looked like he was under sedation and took 2 days to recover. I'm going the natural route to see if it works. I have air filters and am definitely much less worried about silicosis vs using neurotoxins.
Adding baking soda doesn't hurt your cat, but it only works to reduce smell if you are using a natural litter (pine based, corn based etc). Most artificial climping litters are already designed to absorb ammonia by being slightly alkaline. Adding baking soda messes with the PH so that you actually make the litter worse at absorbing ammonia. So the baking soda will clump around urine and absorb the liquid part but not the ammonia, causing the ammonia to slowly separate and vaporize. The Baking soda won't neutralize the vaporizes ammonia so much as just physically clump around it, holding it in. You will see this the first time you scoop the artificial litter after adding baking soda. The second you scoop into a clump of baking soda, you'll get an incredibly strong ammonia smell, stronger than anything you ever got with just artificial clumping liter, because the ammonia was never actually absorbed, just physically surrounded by the baking soda. So everytime your cat scratches a clump of baking soda it will release that stronger ammonia smell. Again you don't get this effect with natural litters but you will always get it with the basic artificial clumping litters. If you want to keep using artificial litter (it generally clumps better) just go with crushed zeolite. That physically absorbs urine and the smell without separating the ammonia vapor.
I have a 1 pound 10 oz kitten. We were eating scrambled eggs this morning and she took. Just maybe a dime size or a little bit more and ate it. But after she ate it, I realized I think it had just a little bit of garlic powder in the whole Pan of 3 eggs Should I worry it's sunday and my vet is not open
You just need to be sensible about the dust. Much better than the toxic stuff. My cat is much calmer after I apply it and doesn’t seem irritated. Are you aware pesticides are linked to the skyrocketing rates of Parkinson’s disease?
I would like to know how to formulate your cat’s / kittens meals of you don’t have access to many meat sources just chicken, beef and pork and fish 🤔 we are in Costa Rica and it’s really hard to find something else
So, in other words, as long as you use food grade DE, you'll be fine...which is exactly what those who recommend its use say. Making videos that make it seem like you have something new to say when, in reality, you don't makes you look duplicitous and manipulative. Clickbait may get people to click on your videos once, but it doesn't keep them coming back.
