This is an awesome interview, brought back a lot of memories. I grew up on Smiley Dr., Geer was the street behind ours. I went to Marvin Ave Elementary for preschool and kindergarten, Palms Middle School, and my older cousins are Geers. I didn't know the history was this deep, I'm glad i came across this interview.

Fun fact: they filmed most of the movie cb4 in gg,18st,Marvin Ave neighborhood on Adams between LA brea and houser also a famous bar on Adams and Redondo where most movies filmed their bar scenes is right there I met master p,silk the shocker and mystikal outside during a break in '99 have their autographs. also the movie freeway with young Reese weathspoon was filmed off la brea on Adams bl. bokeem woodbine was shot on the corner of Adams and Mansfield my grandparents stay off Adams and Burnside the area is completely gentrified new buildings and restaurants looks nice no signs of gang activities

The School Yards, Geer Gangs, Marvin's, West Blvds, Rollin 20's, B.P.S. (City) are actually located in the Central Los Angeles Region. Communities like Mid-City, Mid City Heights, West Adam's, are all located in Central Los Angeles which borders West Los Angeles. The Venice Shorelines, Playboy Gangters, & Graveyard Crips out of Santa Monica are all located in the West Los Angeles Region. Typically La Cienega Blvd along with Fairfax Blvd is the border line of West Los Angeles & Central Los Angeles. Depending on the area, typically Washington Blvd, Interstate 10, and Adam's Blvd is the border line that separates Central Los Angeles from South Los Angeles. I guess the Marvin's claim West LA do to being so close to the border line and attending schools 🏫 in West Los Angeles like Hamilton. Since Geer Gang's hood is South of Adams Blvd & east of Fairfax Blvd it could be considered to be located in the South Los Angeles region. Remember the OG stated in the 2nd interview that L.A.P.D. South West division used to patrol 🚓 that section. In addition to that the OG stated that he attended Doresy High School 🏫 which is located in the South Los Angeles region.

Other sections of the South Los Angeles region is considered to be either South West Los Angeles or South East Los Angeles which includes Watts/Willowbrook area. @@termiteexterminator1208 nah broski the city of LA has districts and if you look at the districts it mapped out west adams is a district located in the south central region of the city fairfax is the dividing line between Culver City and south central to the west the freeway is the dividing line to the north and after you pass the freeway you are now in mid city....the epicenter of LA is downtown so technically any west of that is west la anything east is east la so on and so forth but the city operates in districts not to mention this information is publicaly available online given by the city

I remember the Geers being turnt up in the early 2000’s going at it with the West Blvd’. The body count was going up then they squashed it. After that the beef with the 18’s kicked off and I ain’t heard much from them since. I’m assuming they lost a decent amount of riders during that war with the WB’s to jail before the 18 war kicked off.

West LA Is a whole ‘nother side. We got started late in the game. Ain’t got nothing to do with the eastside - west side of South LA. East LA is east of downtown- a TOTALLY separate part of the land. First these dance groups competed against each other on different parts of West LA. Later they formed into Crip sets…. There were other dance groups - red lights, Starlights, Diamond Backs - Fairfax HS, University HS, Palisades HS bound. 18th St was the biggest Esse set in West LA. The 3X West LA sets were sanctioned by a real Westside Tray set over in South Central -
