Great demo of the ammo in gel. I have the rock as part of my carry rotation and usually carry this ammo and AAC 40 grain ballistic tip in my magazines. Both have had pretty good affect on small game and predators that I come across.
I plan on carrying the PSA Rock as well. I’ve heard that the Glock 17 holster will fit it well. Do you use a holster? If so what style do you use? IWB or OWB? I’ve thought about attaching a light/laser combo but the options are limited when it comes to holsters for that setup so I’ll just do that for home defense. I have AAC hornady v-max on hand and Speer Gold Dot on the way!
🥇👍Very interesting test. When looking at the projectile shape, one would expect more penetration power. More so by the fact that it is flying more than 2000fps. I might be going out on a limb here, but my guess is that the light weight of 27 grain at these speeds is the deciding factor for the round being unstable and as a result weak on penetration. All of my friends keep making fun of me saying that if I use the FN57 round for self defense It will go through my attacker As well as whoever is behind them Is that true ?
@@Smartphone-pl8ix he is, rifle rounds aka spitzer tipped rounds are designed to penetrate and tumble, yes even "OT" ammo, the FPS that it is hitting at causes it to yaw and cause nasty wound tracks.... RN ammo (round nose) is meant to expand upon impact
