You must of dropped the motor a bit to close the bonnet. Also you will have to laminate & tube the front axle housing as so it won,t bend also strengthen where the swivel housing bolts to the axles. Here in Aust. its done (recommended) JRA (jaguar rover australia) fitted 3.9 Isuzu motors to County,s for that same reason only if vehicle is to driven hard.
Amazing beautiful conversion project. There are any gaid, How much total cost. Can fit 5.9 on R380 transmission. What the main problem or difficulty faced. Waiting your reply
Oh how I wish I had the time to take mine off the road and do that. She'd be a beast of a tipper. Youve made a beautiful job of it, really enjoyed the updates, thanks.
Iv got Salisbury axels front and back. Iv also got a belt sqeek. I agusted the altanater forward that helped the belt sqeek is the same mountain bracket as i had and it was originally offline.
Where did you plumb the oil return from the vac pump on the alternator? Looks like the feed is coming from the port on top of oil filter housing? Cheers
I have several questions. I'll see if someone can answer them. Is the engine the same as the truck or are they smaller? Does the weight of the engine not affect driving? Since it must be quite heavy.
Can you send me the info where you got the adapter for transmission to transfer case I got a 1985 defender 90 And im in the proses of getting a 5.9 Cummins with transmisión from a 1993 Dodge Ram
Awesome! would be trying to fit in a 110. Why the drop down of the frame in the front chassis? was that to clear the bottom of the engine? My brother works for Cummins, so was thinking of the new 2.8l but I would like to keep it mechanical. Where do I get the kit?
Yup, The new 2.8 is supposed to be good,I wouldnt be afraid of it. im working on a 5.9 common rail into a 5193 GMC now, i need to get a video put together for you tube if im honest.
@@RedmanAutoEngineering The 5.9 with the weight of boat anchor you need to reconfigure front suspension to suit right? Also im not really keen on the 2.8L. I'm from Asia so i see them quite a bit on small trucks.
IMHO you should've installed the Bosch p-pump version which has 160hp, which is 30hp than the rotary version. At 130hp, you should've dump a 4BT p-pump in it
@@RedmanAutoEngineering about to start the conversion now haha! I'll remember to add ALL of the sound deadening! To do the air suspension conversion, what did you do for front shock absorber mounting? i saw its relocated in the video, is there something off a D2 you can use like a different spring turret etc?
Never done one myself but a few people on the Cummins landrover group on FB have. There's a fair bit of tunnel and fab work to the firewall from what I've seen but doable
would you mind telling me what type of DAF airbags you are running on the rear? I have been looking all over to find information about what bags to put on a 130. It's really hard to find...
@@P8C1 yes but which model daf also i know the army used them and some buses had them but which model and year i dont know and cummins have made newer versions but what they went into i dont know
