Please translate this on your favourite platform. Alguns gênios do violão brasileiro. Primeiro o grão Mestre varonil Baden Powell. Impressionante o Raphael.

@@ronaldobressan15 I was 16/17. I took my (6-strings) guitar to his concert so he could sign it. I managed to sit in the first row. Eventually he began playing Samba pro Rapha and one of his strings broke. He half-jokingly asked if there was an guitar in the audience and of course I offerred mine! There are a few videos on yt proving it... That was an epic day!

Check Raphael Rabello. Not only was Yamandu deeply inspired by him, he also dedicates the song to this amazing 7-string guitar player. I'd also mention Alessandro Penezzi as another outstanding Brazilian player. Watch him play "brasileirinho" with Marcos Kaiser

I'm super happy to see Yamandu Costa, whom music I love. But I came here to say thank you Lucas, since today I played Fly me to the Moon and it was the first time to really play a music by heart, remembering the notes, tempo and fret positions. I'm deeply grateful and I hope you're rewarded as the good teacher you are.

I agree. The problem with these lists is that different guitar players are at the top of **different "games"'**, namely 1) Guitar players great at composing amazing own music ( e.g. Ralph Towner, Badel Powell, etc) 2) Guitar players great at improvising over existing tunes (e.g. Joe Pass, Wes Montgomery) 2) Guitar players playing technically complicated things, often classical ( many fit in this cathegory) 3) Guitar players making new, own beautiful arrangements of existing pop tunes. (Kent Nishimura, Sungha Jung, etc). And then you have other crazy rankings, like who plays fastest 4) fastest picking ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--DMyM7ARJUI.html

@@ArielAr I think the expression guitarist says we're talking about technical proficiency with the instrument itself. Kent is head and shoulders above the rest in that regard.
