He played for the reds. Yeah I'm a nobody and I got him 3 times. By the way he was the only one that showed up in a brand new BMW. Lol

Imagine Casey Martin having a Taylor made double play, bobbles it and only get the lead runner at second. Next pitch is a two run home run so he clearly cost us a run. Then in the 9th, the “best hitter on the team” strikes out with 2 on.

Wheels it didn’t matter anyway. Martin struck out and then Goody ended it with a fly out. Bunting there wouldn’t have changed anything

Hoggybones I don’t think you know how high level baseball works bud. Every single thing changes based on the play and if you have runners on 1st and 2nd or 2nd and 3rd: what the batter is thinking, what the pitcher is thinking, what pitches are called, where the fielders position themselves, etc. 2nd and 3rd would’ve caused changes in the rest of the game. Also, there’s a chance the pitcher could’ve thrown the ball away on a bunt. Butterfly effect. Not bunting there was their demise.

Kreamations dang man no need to talk down to me. I see what you’re saying. But they bunted with Ezell in game 1 in the 8th with nobody out and advanced the runners and Martin still struck out. We know Martin is a strikeout king they weren’t gonna waste a great hitter in Ezell to go trust one of our most strikeout happy hitters. Either way it didn’t end up mattering bc if u watch Arkansas baseball, you know Martin will strike out when the pressure is on him.

Hoggybones I call everyone “bud,” so i’m sorry if I came out sounding condescending. But hey, maybe Martin would’ve struck out with runners on second and third. But I also know the pitcher could’ve been a little more nervous and maybe could miss his spot and make a mistake. We’ll never know. You make a good point though and see where you are coming from.
