....so glad to see the tote in the list. I have been utilizing bags since 1982, when Pops got me a British Tan Satchel from Tusting that I still use. I personally love the repurposed materials that has a lot of character like the Messenger by Elvis & Kresse, they are sturdy, had a few ask where I got it. For the clean and classic bespoke, I love the Croc bag of Dahlman1807
I have all these bags except a tote. Herschel backpack, adidas duffle for the gym, coach briefcase and weekender. If I could do it again I would get a Frank Clegg weekender and briefcase, but I think my coach bags are good enough
While a weekender is very useful, most of them don't comply with current airline requirements for carry-on luggage, if you have to travel for your job. Phil.
@@gentslounge In Australia, where the majority of flights are fully booked flights between capital cities the airlines are very strict in enforcing compliance with a size that a year or so ago was reduced to well below the size of bags that most retail stores classify as weekend bags. But our Melbourne to Sydney traffic is very dense by world standards and I have had my complying size carry-on transferred to the cargo hold on several occasions. Phil.
Hi George. Hope your well and safe. One really useful bag is a messenger as an alternative to the backpack. I’m not a backpack Guy but I have a leather mid size messenger from Coach (looks really classy without having to go down the LV / Gucci road) and it’s great for daily carry when you are in a t shirt and shorts/ jeans etc. Perfect for short commutes too.... What’s your thoughts? Your videos have been spot on, content and detail is great as usual. I have not commented in a while. Lockdown with 2 young kids is manic but you just have to ride the wave. Keep safe Laith
Laith, You're right I'd replace that leather tote with a messenger bag if need be. Those two pretty much serve the same purpose. We're doing just fine here. Getting a little restless though! Hope you're safe!
Gent's Lounge We are good thanks. Restless is a good summary but I guess we all just have to think a bit more outside the box. Ps keep the live-streams coming. Would love to see a video follow up to LA style (when it’s safe).
@@gentslounge i like the leather tote and the weekender! great looking bags. by the way, George, why is it that you do the videos by yourself so much more frequently than blake does?
+Gent's Lounge Hi George et al.; nowadays, I'm using the Vaja City Hunter - www.vajacases.com/collections/premium-leather-bags/products/city-hunter-leather-backpack. Quite happy with it: design, quality, and wearability. What are your thoughts, mate?
@@gentslounge Lol. That is your job. I am just a follower. Try to picture Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone with your recommended items, if something doesn't fit right. then you know..
@@thomas2732 ...oh funny this may sound but eons ago on one of my LAX-SFO flight, Bruce Willis had a sleek black tote by Dunhill, It still very vivid when I asked him if it was bespoke, he was way cool. I ended getting one on a layover in London but in British Tan.
