Bella is so cute! I give Trufa home made carrot treats. I didn't like the ingredients in any of the store bought treats so I found some recipes online that a vet designed for her dog and checked with Trufa's vet that they where good for her. Bake a batch, store it in the freezer, last me about a month, and most importantly Trufa loves them, they are healthy and have no preservatives or any stuff like that which can give her allergies.
Thanks for sharing Pamela! Yeah breaking up the pupperoni is almost necessary...it’s a pretty big dog treat. Bella could definitely eat 15 at a time lol 😂
I just got my new Boston terrier baby and I chopped up a tiny bit of cooked chicken for him as treats. He is only 10 weeks old and I don't want to upset his stomach with anything that has too many additives at this stage. He LOVED the chicken though.
The only treat we give our Boston's are Charlee Bears they are only 3 calories each and they are limited ingredients/grain free. I do not give my Boston Terrier chicken, they are allergic to it...
Our Boston’s love the Alpo Variety Snaps Minis.. my eldest is 5 and she is very picky. Our little one is 10 weeks and he doesn’t care. Also they love cucumbers, butternut squash, pineapple, almost any non toxic fruit or vegetables. Also I make dog jerky and of course.. it’s on top of the list for both.
When my fiancée Cindy and I had Stella - we provided her with treats from PolkaDog Bakery from Boston, MA. We were first introduced to them when we took Stella to Angell Memorial Animal rescue Hospital, due to her having Pulmonic Stenosis ( She had been born with Major-league heart issues). Stella really enjoyed the Chicken Littles (3 ingredient dog-boned shaped snacks.) Alas, Stella is no more - she passed over the Rainbow Bridge on 30 APR 2022, at age 15.5 months. PolkaDog is on the web, as well as having 9 Boston area locations.
Taz loves the mini milk bones and Greenies tooth brush treats. Tfs the new treats, I'll have to check them out. He also loves carrots, and green beans.
Mine loves antlers, I have gotten him caribou and cape buffalo mine just loves it and they last a while just becareful walking or laying on them as they end up sometimes in the bed. I have used deer also I didn't care for them although easier to get after hunting season here but they are not going to last as long and when any horn get's too small it's time to throw it away. I also use deer leg/hooves my little boston eats them along side of my bigger dogs. At my local bank they give my boston milk bone in fact I am not allowed in unless I got my boston the ladies there love him. For me I usually buy peanut butter treats but also vary it up with "soup bone" (no bones just looks like a bone but soft) I get different stuff from apple or a pumpkin treats and sometimes duck or bison jerky (1lb bags). My dog likes pretty much any food like at our local hospital they give him a cup of apple sauce.. now that I really look at it I think my dog eats much better than myself.
Mine loves Zukes. He also likes the Rachael Ray treats. There’s one that’s a little meatball and one that looks like a little hamburger. We’ve also been doing dog ice cream when it’s hot.
In ireland we have “Pet Munchies” 100% natural. Usually give Nala chicken liver sticks, chicken sticks, chicken and liver bites, chicken and carrot or chicken and sweet potatoes. Will try to introduce duck, lamb in the next few months. She is just 4 months. Any experience with duck or lamb anyone?
I used to give my Boston these treats that had words written on them like 'Sit,' 'Roll over,' and 'Speak,' and I'd have her do what it said. But once I found one that said "Help, I'm being kept prisoner in a dog trreats factory!'
Mine loves sardines. Her very favorite. She also loves Paul Newman Organic sweet potato/ chicken. The sardines I get her are in olive oil. And I only give her one mixed with her food. She also really likes marrow bones. If not familiar, they are round and have marrow in the middle. They're very hard, don't have to worry about them splintering or breaking. They come in different sizes, so the small ones are just the right size for a Boston mouth. And big enough don't have to worry about choking. I find them in the frozen meat section at grocery store. Since marrow has alot of fat, I only give her one once in awhile. But she will know on the bone for days.( Knaw) is that a word?. Love this site. I've had Pricilla for less then 2 years, and still learning. She was a gift. That saying, a gift that keeps on giving? Must have been written by a Bossy, Boston Terrier owner.
Our princess love Rachel Ray's Roasted chicken ...Savory Roasters ..all natural Treats been giving them to her for about 4 years and we dont dare run out!!!
@@BostonTerrierSociety your welcome I love watching your Videos you are pretty much spot on with a lot of your videos I have had Boston's for many years, and they are the most loving breeds and so easy to train... thank you for all your informative videos ❤
I used to feed my baby bOy Bocce’s Bakery treats. His favorite flavor was “ The Big Apple Pie.” They smell literally like an apple pie. Bocce’s uses all natural, limiting ingredients..that you can actually pronounce. You could actually eat them too. I highly recommend them. If you go to their website..you can see my review I left under his favorite treat.
My Teri would eat every treat, but 2 months ago she developed allergies to protein, especially beef and chicken, so now she can have only carrots, dry salmon and Milo's duck jerky is her favorite.
Not a fan of synthetic foods found in treats. Want a high value treat? I buy a small pork roast, slice it, pound it super thin with meat pounder, spread on a cooking sheet, (with wire rack if you have it) and cook it at 200 degrees for 2-3 hours. Can do with any meat. Makes a jerky with nothing added. I keep most freezer. Small bag in refrigerator. Break into small pieces for treat. Cheap and healthy.
We give our Boston most whole foods. I can't eat cheese without looking at those sad eyes and having to share. We also but beef lung on Amazon and she loves to chew on that. It's freeze dried or something. Not like a raw hide texture. She loves that too.We feed her taste of the wild and she loves it. I've noticed the last 2 times I gave her some pretzels she's thrown up foam so I'm assuming wheat gives her a bit of ingestion. No more wheat for her...
My Boston Boy loves Chicken Jerky Strips, I give him 2 or 3 pieces at Walmart, and also the Chicken wraps on sticks.. The only Dental Sticks he will eat is the Dingo Sticks at Walmart . He's picky on treats so I hate to buy large bags and find out he doesn't want them.
Hi, glasgow also loves his organic treats, he has sweet potato and lentils. We are struggling to find a great plant based chewing treat. Any suggestions?
We don’t use any of them . Ours loves more jerky type things. 1. It’s a treat 2. Provides awesome chewing! The favorite it the rawhide stick with jerky pieces skewered on the rawhide stick. It’s a favorite of of the other dogs as well. But it could be because the Boston Terrier is aggressive when eating and pulls the labs along with her. They’re all females lol
Sweet potato chews and 1 mini chicken Milk Bone. Just added a piece of banana. Have to watch the fat content closely due to health issues for Rosemary!
Mine loves canine Carry outs steak and burgers, hates any cookie type things from the trendy dog treat stores lol she's a cheap girl I guess iam ok with that
