5 Best Essential Oils for Healing Scars 

Yes ma'am, i had a hot water, 3rd degree burn scar on my back. It's almost been 7-8 years. I cannot feel any roughness on my skin but it has left a hyperpigmentation scar. Since i had read about frankincense essential oil in the past, I've just recently placed an order for Frankincense Sacra which is from Oman. There are many kinds of Frankincense available in the market. I've listed some below 1) Frankincense Serrata- India 2) Frankincense Catarri - Somalia 3) Frankincense Frereana- Higher attitudes Somalia 4) Frankincense Sacra- Oman If you were to compare the best Frankincese among the four, Frankincese Sacra would be the one anyone would go for. Now, that's according to what I've read. I want to know from you, which frankincese is actually good for Scars( Any kind). Here is my Question, 1) Will the dark Pigmentation Scar vanish after a period of time if i apply Frankincese ( Boswellia) Sacra to it. Sure! Thanks for watching. If you are making a 1ounce face oil for example, I would not add in more than 12 drops (total) of your essential oils. So if you are combing essential oils then the total amount needs to equal 12 drops - make sense?

Oh my...those are not easy...best you can do is try and soften them. I'd rely on rose hip, hemp seed, avocado oils

I am not sure what you are asking? But yes, carrier oils are different than essential oils. But thisn video is about essential oils. And all essential oils need to be diluted into carrier oils before being applied to the skin.

Oh my...well first of all - I'n not a doctor! So I can't give any advice from that perspective. And this definitely sounds like a tricky situation. All I can suggest is using carrier oils like Rose hip seed oil works wonders, and try also a tiny bit of sea buckthorn or buriti carrier oils...but at small dilutions since they can stain (temporarily) the skin. So what I mean by dilute is use either of the 2 oils at 1/2 tsp in 1 ounce of rose hip. sorry I can't be of more help

10% dilution is the amount per quantity you are making. So if you are making a 1 ounce bottle, 10% dilution would be 60 drops.

For the scarring, first wait until the stitches are out and the swelling is down a bit, then I would use the oils I shared in this video...but include butters like Shea, Cocoa and even Mango....you can watch my video on the "anti-aging butter...that recipe could be great for scars too!

sure you can - but first mix them into a carrier oil like rosehip oil which has been shown to improve the appearance of the skin. In one ounce of carrier oil add between 8 -12 drops of essential oil total.

I am not a doctor. But I would think if the skin is healed and there are no open wounds, or oozing, the oils would feel soothing. like a moisturizer

you could try all 5 mixed together 1-2 drops of each, or one at a time! That is up to you!

SO sorry it has taken me so long to reply! I only just found your comment. I hope you are recovering well, and feeling stronger. Never use essential oils directly on scars, always dilute them down into carrier oils. And the best carrier oils that I'd use in your situation are: rosehips, avocado, pumpkin seed, carrot seed, sea buckthorn (but use a very tiny bit of this one because it can stain your skin temporarily) and jojoba. Butters are also a good choice, like shea, mango and cocoa. I'd check out my "anti-aging butter recipe video...that would be a good one to try. Please keep me posted! Both are lovely and very safe for children. But make sure the Frankincesne is the botanical name: Boswellia carteri (syn. sacra). and NOT the serrata!

I'm not a doctor! But you could try making a breast massage oil? I'd use all the oils I suggest in the video and do a gently massage to see if that softens it a bit?

Hmmm over 10 years ago...that is tricky. Not sure anything will be able to really fade it. But you might want to try Rosehip Seed oil directly, but that is a carrier oil. For a blend of essential oils I'd try Fennel Seed, Lemon and geranium. But if the scars on on your face, don't use a lot. In one TBSP of carrier oil mix, 2 drops of lemon, 1 drop of fennel and 2 drops of geranium. try that maybe? Keep me posted,

Yes! I would try the following blend. But this takes a month or more to see results and you should apply it 2 X a day. Carrier Oils: Try 50 grams of Rosehip Oil, 25 grams borage oil, 1 gram of sea buckthorn oil, 24 grams of pumpkin seed oil and then add the following blend of essential oils: 4 drops of Lemon 5 drops of Helichrysum 3 drops of Carrot Seed 4 drops of Frankincense 3 drops of Geranium hope this helps!

I would try and use mostly carrier oils instead of essential oils, I'd look to evening primrose, borage, rose hips and hemp seed oil, and if you want to use an essential oil I'd try frankincense, but only use 1 drop per tsp of your carrier oil mix.

Essential oils aren't comodogenic in general. Just FYI.

Old scars are really hard to get rid of. But you can try to lighten their appearance. All the oils I mention in this video can help with possibly lightening their appearance.

Try using Frankinces, Helichrysum and carrot Seed...but make sure to always dilute them into Rose hip seed oil!

What about using castor oil? It’s a miracle worker -how might I incorporate it into a treatment for stretch marks?

no it should NEVER burn! Please don't add helichrysum directly to scar, it should always be diluted before applying. How did you use it?

When the scabs are gone and healed you can start applying oils and see if there are any changes! Sorry that happened to you...sounds painful. I'm not a DR...but I've helped my skin look a little better from using carrier oils and essential oils...that's been my own personal experience

​@@user-dk1xk6dg9r I always keep a bottle of St John's wort oil in my arsenal. Very handy for fresh burns and itching from mosquitoes, or skin irritations. You can apply it directly to your skin as it is a carrier oil therefore available in bigger quantities which should last longer. All the best

Hello! I am not a doctor! You should try and find a doctor! I am sorry I can't help...but if you want to lessen the appearance of the scar, you can mix some of these oils together....and gently massage over the area.

That's a tough one! Not sure if an essential oil can actually totally remove it, but using carrier oils and essential oils probably can help soften them and reduce slightly their appearance
