I've been suffering with a quite painful left hip after years of cycling and squash playing and have found your video amazing to help alleviate the symptoms. Ps. I couldn't help noticing that you have one amazing physique! Respect
Pacing and clarity of the speech and also the visual illustration of movement were really are helpful in understanding the proper form. Alternative movement options, encouraging and positive attitude are icing on the cake. 👍🏼
@@juliedsilva6626 Really? It was PERFECT for me, but did you know RU-vid has an option in the settings to increase or decrease the playback speed? I’ve used it a few times. The trouble is that the next slowest speed setting is 75% which sometimes is too slow and can make the person speaking sound like they’re drunk!
Recouping from ankle reconstructive surgery in Dec..still struggling (73 yrs) but doing the best I can. Love to do these before I get out of bed Thank you!
I compliment how professional your videos are edited, thank you for recording a side and overhead view so that we can perform the stretches properly. I am trying to get back into being active and tight stiffness in my hips is what I want to alleviate this year.
Thanks so much and that’s a great goal! Check out these videos too: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1joDjDenSLM.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dzPNf2_mPVI.html
Thank you so much for showing alternative exercises for those of us with limited reach/movement! Much appreciated🙏🏾 Loosening my hips is my pledge to myself this year, and watching your videos for how to do this painlessly is such a help😌
Thank you. I really like a previous comment saying their pledge to themselves this year is loosening their hips… I’m following their lead! A beginning to some much needed self care. Thanks for the informative versions of each exercise with different angle shots! Very helpful x 🙏
Whew. This relieved a lot of tension/soreness in my lower back even though it was for hips. (Maybe it was my hips all along haha). Thank you for your videos! :) You are really great at explaining how to move and making sure you accommodate people at different levels. It makes it really customizable and you can find out how you are feeling each day you do it and what is comfortable for you. I enjoy it. 😊
Ignore the negative comments. Some people don’t appreciate your service to the community. Don’t change anything. You did wonders for my stiffness and blood circulation. 💖💖💖
Just found your video today and definitely hit the thumbs up and subscribe button. This made me feel better immediately. Thanks ! PS you are in amazing shape! Congratulations❤
Hey doc, I have bone spurs on the inner aspect of both hips so do you have any suggestions as to how to get rid of that pain with exercise?? I would love to do some of the moves you do. Thank you in advance.
I just found you this week dr. Kristie. I appreciate you so much. I will have to work up to a few of these. Sending this video into my saved file. Sending many blessings.
The "secret" I tell my clients is to LISTEN to your body as you SLOWLY gain flexibility. The last (unspoken) part of "no pain/no gain" is NO BRAIN! Pain is your body's way of telling you to ease up. 😮
Good morning Dr my hip pain is worsening for past 6 yrs I done these excercise but it agrevate pain and inflammation I feel pain by doing streches after some time do u suggest me do this excercises , one more doubt iam having mild l4- l5, -S1 nerve compression it may cause hip flexors pain and stiffness, pls clarify my doubt dr
Best video I've seen on hip stretches. I had total hip replacement and wound up with tightness on that side. Will work at these stretches to see if I can't even things up.
Thanks a lot. This was very needed for me, I realized with the things I do on a daily that I rely mostly on moving things from one spot to the other in my household and I've come to a conclusion that the main issue is my hips surprisingly. I am very grateful I have stumbled upon your video.
I've just tried this for the first time as my hips ache and are tight and this has worked. Thank you for making me in less pain. I will be making these part of my everyday routine now xx
I’ve done these exercises +more almost every day, for over 10 years. Before I get out of bed in the morning or when I can’t sleep. I’m 77 and I think I’m more flexible than most in my over 50 chair-fit class.
I love the idea of the strap and your alternative I did I’m gonna try these. I have bone on bone right knee Pain in a previous fractured repaired not replaced left hip. I’m so glad I found this. Thank you.
I’m so happy I came across your video Thank You so much for also showing modifications for the hip stretches as well as showing us an overhead view so we know exactly how to do them and not left wondering 🤗😊
I time into your videos and just listening to your soothing voice puts my mind at ease not to mention that you are a beautiful lady from head to feet and toes.
Great video! Thank you, Question: After age 55, will we have to do theses stretches forever? Up until recently, stretches weren’t necessary. (Oh, the good ol’ days!)
@@susiepoo51 oh yea you definitely do.! But the wrong exercise can affect the healing. Also doing too much to early will delay healing, not speed it up. Motion is lotion but gently 💚🙏🍀
I have a hip pain and a back problem and these streches is a effective i felt on my first time doing it thank you so much and your instructions are very clear
I appreciate your sharing different ways of becoming more flexible. I have been doing some variations of these for some time but enjoy seeing slightly different ones from a professionals point of view and experience. Happy Toledo too you.
After doing the last stretch, the butterfly, even supported on both sides...it was painful to walk and I could hardly make a step. My groin felt very limited and I was in excruciating pain. What is going wrong?
If I have a tilted hip with one leg 'appearing' longer than the other, should I fix that issue first or will I still get some benefit from these five? Many thanks
Good question! It depends on what is causing the tilting. If it’s a muscular, some of these may help correct that. If it’s joint, then something else needs to be done first.
I do not know mam where did I go wrong but I did some leg raising , leg stretches sidewise and I have been suffering with sever outer hip , groin and back pain on the left side .. my entire left side of the trunk portion got effected badly . Because of which something went wrong in my abdomen on the left side which I don’t understand When I eat food I feel my tummy has been pushed to the left side and feel as if I have a rock there .. I cannot effort to go to doctors .. have been suffering since 2020 😭😭😭
