I have just turned 40 and treated myself to my first Swiss watch, Tissot Seastar 1000 and I love it. I am now completely obsessed with watches and looking forward to building a collection.
The funny thing is some people are spending so much money on watches of different brands that they could have their grail watch if they didn’t bother to buy the others ones in the first place. But I get it, it’s nice to have a few instead of just one.
Yeah it's either around 500 dollar watches or rolex and up imo. Anything between say 1k and 6k is really mediocre or has some fatal flaw. Some examples Prx > plastic movement Omega smp > no taper on bracelet+depreciation from hell Speedy > service cost from hell Tudor > halfway rolexes (kind of like just putting the tip in tbh) Seiko spbs > overpriced Longines > used to be good value but new pricing is insane Tag > depreciation from hell Swatch mid brands > mostly generic and just not tjat much better than a 500 dollar citizen, glycine or seiko
@adrianvladmladin1005 nah been into watches for nearly a decade. I know everything from patek collectors to ppl buying on Ali express. Generally, the watches ppl never sell are beaters (sub 500 or so bucks) and say rolexes, cartier or grand seikos and above. And this is once you have bought your first nice watches like, say, a Rolex or two. I'm just saying don't waste money on more affordable watches until you can buy a Rolex or above.
My favourite watch at the moment is the Tudor Pelagos 39. I managed to get one preowned for half price. But I really love the pelagos fxd chrono with the blue dial.
It’s so hard to comment my favorite watch because even within my own tiny collection, it changes all the time. Often, that title belongs to my Rolex DJ, in my opinion the perfect all-rounder, classy and sporty and seriously robust, it really can do anything and go anywhere. But there are times when the title of favorite gets passed on to something else entirely, like the G-Shock square or most recently, the $30 Armitron Rubik that I haven’t stopped wearing since I got it a few weeks ago. Then there is my grail, my favorite watch that I do not own yet, the Omega Equinoxe. Given all that, I honestly can’t choose. But then again, I suppose that’s part of what makes this hobby fun. Great video as always, mate! Congrats on passing 60K! It is so well deserved. Cheers!
I have a few, but this summer I've been wearing the 5610u gshock square so much. I just haven't taken it off. It's just so easy for the summer time. My other favorite is my grandfather's Seiko "tank" from the 80's. It was his daily watch and I wear it all the time.
Totally agree with your opinion about Longines. Their last releases are absolutely stunning! I‘m considering to get the new Conquest - such a beautiful everyday watch
Thanks for the chance to win an awesome piece!! My favorite watch is my grail which i recently acquired, the first gen Omega aqua terra 39mm black dial!
My favourite watch is Grand Seiko “Shunbun” Spring Drive Pink Dial SBGA413 I really like the dial as me.wonderful says dial is everything for him same as me dial and then the movement
The longines conquest crono is just amazing watch.( favourite is the champagne!!!) Since I discover in another your video I can not wait to come back from holidays to go to see with my eyes in the shop. Probably I found my christmas gift. I am waiting my longines crono masterpiece with moonphase in blue...
Favorite watch is the IWC Big Polit 43, black dial, but on the bracelet even though they don’t directly sell that combo. Close second is their Pilot Chronograph 41 In Ceratanium… I recently had the opportunity to handle it and try it on, and pictures do not do it justice. It’s legible and stealth at the same time, the case is metallic yet dark. It’s just such a unique blend of all the things. Freaking expensive though.
Love the prx looks but even the small version doesn't look right on my wrist. Went for a green dial Gentleman powermatic and as with all tissots I'm in love. On my wrist today is the iconic casio f9-1w. Fingers crossed for the draw.
Loving the videos Harrison. My favourite watch in my collection is my 1976 Omega Chrono-Quartz. It’s a real conversation piece and still keeps ‘atomic’ time despite being nearly 50!
My favorite watch is my Pelagos 39. It is truly a go anywhere do anything watch. Yesterday I wore it to work and last night I wore it to date night, and it looked amazing in both scenarios.
My favorite watch has to be tied between the Heuer Carrera 2447 and the Doxa Sub 300T. The Carrera (the new glassbox included) has always been the perfect distillation of the watch I dreamt of as a kid. The whole Doxa line is just so unique and storied that I'm currently saving up for a Sub 200T.
For me, Its Longines Conquest Chrono, Which i actually bought from Chisholm Hunter near me. Love the watch soo far, Its the perfect blend of quality and elegance for an amazing price point.
I have Longines Hydro conquest 39 and I think Longines conguest Chrono is so nice like Rolex 😊 But I have Certina ds 38 Titanium - best watch for every day.
Thanks a lot Harrison for another very interesting and entertaining episode. I'm a fan. But I must admit, the object that get most of my attention was... your mug ! I'm in love with its "japanese" aesthetics! Where can I buy it ?
Wow, I’ve never really liked a Citizen watch before, but this titanium is actually quite beautiful! Love the texture on the dial and that color… stunning. Favorite watch would be a NTTD Omega Seamaster Diver 300 with the Milanese bracelet. An absolutely great watch and so comfortable. Still saving to buy one 🙂.
So far my favorite watch is my Sangin Atlas. Large watch but it doesn't feel it's size, 8 o'clock screw down crown, and built to take a serious beating. Great for my work and life use.
Seiko Astron is a very good watch with the titanium, solar gps quartz movement, date function, day counters on some models, mode trackers on others. It is quartz however which isn’t everyone’s preference but it’s a great watch.
Thank you Harrison for your great videos. I love the way you bring the world of watches to the audience. No matter of they are passionate collectors or even people looking for their first wrist watch. My favorite watch at the moment is the nomos club campus 38 endless blue. A perfect summer watch and just fun.
Great vid Harrison. I would add the Nivada Grenchen F77 to the mix for Genta design options, as well as the Paul Newman Chronokings, and New Chronosport as Daytona alternatives. My current favorite watch is the Longines Conquest Chrono white (ok silver) dial. Couldn’t take it off when I first got it.
Another top notch video! My favourite watch would be the original Rolex Cosmograph (uuuff) 😂…..but my favourite affordable alternative from this video would be surprisingly the Bell & Ross BR05…..wow, just got me that one…something about it. Very very nice 👌🏼
