I appreciate that you added a small screen on the left to show the application of the sunscreen. It's important because most people want to avoid sunscreen that leave a white cast or greasy residue. 👍🏻
No problem and glad you found it helpful! I like including the English names especially for Japanese products as most of the time all the packaging is entirely in Japanese :)
This video was straight to the point and highly informative! Useful editing too. You're so eloquent, it was a joy to listen to. Thanks for the spf inspiration!
yassss... more & more reviews on sunscreens please😘 I never get bored with sunscreen vids.. I am always on the lookout for great sunscreens that go great under make up, no white cast, will not pill on my face, not greasy/oily looking, it must feel light & not too heavy on my face... 😅😊🤣 I know.. I am 'obsessed' 🙃
Also nivea sun protect....... if you like a slight glow it nice.... no white case, no fragrance, melts on your face and refreshing.... never feels like I have sunscreen at all. Its amazing. When you first open it it smells like handsanitizer but it goes away and is surprising moisturizering
i love japanese sunscreens. my favourites are: hada labo uv white gel, nivea water sun gel, shiseido senka aging care uv, kose suncut protect gel & skin aqua milk :-)
@@annaytime oh yeah do, it's very similar to the biore one, and it absorbs very quickly and gives that radiant finish :-) and the pump dispenser is very very handy.
i live in Germany, i will try to find the nivea one, see if nivea has the exact same product as japan edition. the one i tried from nivea was kind of thick, It is funny as nivea is german trade mark 😂.
@@fly89 true2, the german version is not good. i think the japanese version is a collaboration between nivea and biore. hence, it's quite similar to the biore one.
You should try the A'Pieu Pure Block Natural Daily Sun Cream. It has no alcohol but is literally as lightweight as the bioré sunscreen. Would be interesting to hear your thoughts!!
Fragrance, essentials oils (fragrant ones), and ahchol/denatured alcohol is the number one cause of contact dermatitis. For instance you may not be allergic to your usual skincare products but through time you will find your skin feeling itchy and stinging.
@@rollos3909 Dr V. (check out her channel) she is a doctor and formulater for skin of color people who hyperpigment very easily. She suggest to go with mineral sunscreen over chemical as mineral covers better and also not harmful to equatic life. as for sunscreen she recommends color sciense and nuetragena. can get more detail from her videos. hope you find your sunscreen.
Fragrance (including EOs) and alcohol can definitely be skin irritants for many people! But there are lucky ones out there whose skin aren't irritated by these ingredients
@@annaytime but who would want to risk that and find out in their 30s and 40s or 50s that they have contact dermatitis, wouldn't it be wiser to stay clear from irritants that actually is proven to irritate more than "a few lucky ones"? Dr V. and people with kind heart can only put the info out there to empower people, now its really up to you to gain the wisdom to do what's right. "When you know better you do better" - Maya Angelou
You are using the old versions of Bioré and Anessa. They have reformulated their lineup, (Bioré in 2019, Anessa Feb. 2020) and they're so much better now especially Anessa with it's Thermo Booster technology there's nothing like it in the market.
Strange you think fragrance free is rare for Japanese sunscreens. There is Skin Aqua, Suncut, Canmake, Verdio, Allie and some from Anessa (mild), Nivea, Transino, And Mirai, Biore, Coppertone, Sports Beaty.
There are far more fragranced Japanese sunscreens than fragrance-free but more and more brands are now coming out with FF sunscreens which is awesome! More choices for us as consumers :)
Thanks for the video. Which sunscreen would you recommend for me, someone who has acne-prone, sensitive skin? I break out easily, but need to use sunscreen . :(
Hello Anna! What do you think about Isehan Sunkiller SPF 50+? Seems like another good alcohol-free sunscreen, very lightweight. I am a bit concerned if the SPF factor is correct though...
Most korean sunscreen don't contain alcohol. Only Japanese sunscreen contains alcohol. Better to use Japanese instead of asian sunscreens when explaining
I don't like making broad generalizations because it really depends on the brand. I've used plenty of Korean sunscreens with alcohol and the Canmake sunscreen, which is Japanese, does not contain alcohol.
@@annaytime actually i mentioned it because you actually said at 7mins of the video that most asian sunscreens contains alcohol. Also at 3mins u said most asian skin care contain fragrance. After watching more of your video i realized u are base in usa. I am asian so i actually lucky enough to explore many more Asian skincare. It's more common for Japanese sunscreen to contain alcohol. Korean skincare usually like to go after those 5 free or 7 free labels where alcohol isn't as commonly use in most korean sunscreen.
For the Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence, their 2015 version is more easily absorbed than the 2019 Edition in your video. Shiseido Anessa Skincare milk is less greasy than their mild milk for sensitive skin. I prefer their milk range more than their gel. I havent tried their spray n cushion type. Hada labo UV perfect gel is actually a moisturizer with decent spf. 3 range of perfect gel only blue tub comes with spf. Gold n white tub are without spf.
