You are 100% correct in saying "choose your footwear carefully" as it can take an outfit from stunning to blah very quickly. I really appreciate you showing all the examples of what works and what doesn't. You take time with your video's to demonstrate what you are talking about and this really helps so much. I'm 4'11 and all this time I assumed only skinny pants was the only style that would be flattering until I saw this video! I stayed away from some of the pant styles you mentioned but you enlightened me. Also, I don't know why they think if you're petite that you also have a tiny waist. We can be short and pudgy also.. LOL! It's just trying to find the right fit in all areas. You have great tips!

Great video! I never wear pleated pants or skirts because I have fuller hips!! Heels is key to look taller, but many of us prefer flats or small heeled shoes!
I have the challenge of being 50/50 on torso to legs length, short waisted, and large breasted, on top of being only 5ft, so pants get pretty careful scrutiny in the dressing room before I buy. Since I know what is not going to work, it's made online shopping for pants easier. A tip if you shop online, and there's no petite length, is to get regular length in ankle pants which may have a hem length closer to your normal petite length
I'm also petite 5'2''. I find well-tailored tapered pants that fit around the waist and hip such as those from Theory are very flattering with ankle boots. They have such a slimming and elongating effect.

Great tips, I notice some of the pants your wearing are high & low waist. If shopping for pants you need to try them out. That's why it recommend you shop in Boutique stores where you can get one on help. This has been my experience

What about when you sit down? The pants will look good standing but when we what's said the bottom of the pants would rise up to our knees! How can we make this work.

I'm a petite plus - so there are a few more issues to consider. I hope most of these tips will work for me too. At least I know that my choice of blue jeans is correct - boot cut! Yea! Got that right! :-)
I'm only 5' 1" so have so much problem with length of pant length. I am older, over 55 and cannot wear high heels anymore. Just too uncomfortable for me and I have to walk several blocks to bus stops. Just can't wear high heels like you are wearing. I can wear low wedgy shoes (not over 2 inches at the most.)
My problem is that I can't find those pants where I live, they are always longer than my legs 😢😢 and I'm scared to buy them online in case they don't suit me at all in the end. Also when i find something it turns out it's expensive as hell and the materials are clearly cheap or uncomfortable
And heels are flats. I cannot wear heels. Flats don't work too well either with my foot shape :-( I can only wear tennis shoes. What am I supposed to do?
