After watching this video I have to say I feel even more motivated and excited to developing the skills for this field. It looks like it might be the change I'm looking for which can lead to the other experiences of work that data analytics can act as a springboard.

Agree, i've completed two data analysis courses it feels good but once i started doing my first project i got hit by reality, i thought if this is hard i wonder how hard it'll be once i get a job, but once you complete that first project no matter how awful that project looks it feels sensational and the second project will be much better. Another downside is when doing a personal project it's easy to find the right dataset but in a real job nobody knows where is the data 😂.

Even whatever they learned in college but haven't used they put like 6 scripting language. -.- Come on, we all got 1 or 2 we are really skilled and the rest are all "we have some knowledge but won't be about to script without referencing google a bit"

@learnwithlukas

Absolutely. I even use the wrong word often too. But as a quick answer: data analytics is a more general term for the field, whereas data analysis is the actual thing you perform using the data
@bilalalezzo
@bilalalezzo Год назад
@@learnwithlukas Yes, this is the general difference between them, but what are the detailed differences between them, what are the techniques and tools used for both of them, is the way of working different between each of them? @@sadephillips9645 I would not really call DE having minor communication. Though yes it might be less than DA, my experience as a DE is that you will still have to communicate with your client/stakeholder and absolutely understand how their business model works and how your data system fills in the gap, and also communicate with both data source people like SW and consumers like DA/DS. Although admittedly those things might be delegated to the more experienced DE person and not entry level.

Try out online courses to see if you're really sure about it. Boot camps can be helpful, but they are expensive and it's easy to fall into their trap thinking that it's the only way to succeed. Thanks for video. This job is absolutely not for me. I prefer solo_job digging(or/and cleaning) into data and maybe a lil'bit creating reports. Basically, I prefer a "technical side" of job like: Excel+SQL(Python)+Tableau… and that's all. I do not want to talk(have meetings) with stakeholders or do presentations. But looks at this job you 75% talking and 25% doing. If entry-salary for this job would be 200k+ - then ok, long meetings are fun, presentations too..lol. Then maybe I could've try. Haha.

It’s just that I’m looking for a programming job as it’s what I enjoy doing, I don’t need A LOT money really, I just want something like a basic python programming job to do remote but i don’t know what options I have I only see software developer, machine learning, data analyst and I can easily know off software developer currently and leave that for later due to the difficulty and I would rather go to an ACTUAL code camp for that. Machine learning and data analyst is what I’m split on I already know the basics of python and would be willing to learn more. Im looking at both of these at free code camp. Already halfway through the data analysis (in one day) of that (literally just easy RU-vid videos lol)

He skimmed over one MAJOR downside, that data analysts are not regraded as "tech," and consequently are not paid as well as data engineers and other less customer-facing people in any organisation. Their salaries peak at about a half of what the others can make. Consequently people tend not to stay in data analysis for very long. Whereas the people WITHOUT communication skills who sit and code on their own make twice as much.
