Samsung is the absolutly last refrigerator that I would purchase. They are currently involved in a class action lawsuit for customers that have had multiple issues with their refrigerator ice makers. I was one of those unfortunate customers. They did NOTHING to help with the issue! And Hisense... Chinese I presume? NOPE!
My sister is using LG no. 3 Here in my country we called it as 'LG Knock Knock' but the price will knock ur head as well. Cost almost RM10k when its 1st launched 😂
There is a COSTCO employee in store 320 in UNION NJ,, SO she bought a SAMSUNG FRENCH DOOR REFRIGERATOR,,IN 3 MNTHS IT STOPPED WORKING, , SERVICE TOOK4 MNTHS, THE CMPRESSOR WAS BAD, THEY REMOVED IT AND GAVE HER A NEW ONE ! Just imagine 3 months,,THERE IS NOTHING SAMSUNG I WOULD EVER BUY ! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
My repair man said never buy LG or Samsung. At least they gave her a new one, but it was probably a long slow process, without a working refrigerator. That's terrible!!!
Best refrigerator are came from 1950's - 1960's simply because those "Tanks" still works well today even after half of century, meanwhile consider you were lucky if your state of the art "Smart Fridge" last more than 3 years.
I remember an old water heater that always worked and never needed any maintenance - it was built maybe in the early 1940's before WWII when they built stuff to last a lifetime.
As products get more "intelligent" they also get more unreliable. Best to use simple designs without all the AI printed circuits - they do not belong in areas subject to cooling and heating - they corrode or die. I just repaired a GE with printed circuit boards for temp selection - I had to "pinch" the circuit boards to get them to function long enough to set the temperatures - why no just use simple dials with less complexity and more reliablility??
This is very true. I had to change out all my “high” end appliances for simple ones and haven’t had any problems since. Well, except the rusting because they last so long. 😂
@@EastCoastReefer Thanks for the comment. It's true with cars, too, because those that buy the very expensive Cadillac's or the cars with everything find with aging many of the features no longer work or are prohibitively expensive to maintain. It seems foolish to have printed circuits inside refrigerators that have moisture and changing conditions - they'd need to be designed to handle the changes, but that obvious need is overlooked by the manufacturers. They tell you to just replace the parts, BUT why not provide parts that last the life of the product?
When we purchased our first microwave oven, my husband said it was No not wise to get the electronic paneled one because they would have issue, so we got the one with the knobs instead. It ran like a top, for years. We gave it to my son, when the products got smaller. I guess the panels vs knobs still applies, if there were only knobs.
LOL...pinching the circuit boards, which I MIGHT have tossed across the room! I read that the issue re: lawsuits was that the insulation between the icemaker, and the lower temps in the refrigerator section was just flimsy, and thin. Just your basic company skimping on the products.
@@jeanmader2302 It's just that the circuit boards should NOT be exposed to the inside of the refrigerator - the moisture will ruin them in a short time. I'm happy pinching the assembly allowed it to work so I could set the refrigerator.
Do not buy Samsung refrigerator, i bought 324ltr twin cooling+ within 7days it has sweating issue, the food items getting wet and the moisture is more, i called the service centre, according to them it has no defect, and also they are not able to solve my problem. Not able to get refund of the item, life sucks after buying this Samsung refrigerator.
... because they want you to have something that requires a lot of repair and maintenance? These products are designed to look good with no regard for quality and RELIABILITY.
Wait oo am I the only one that is confused by the last one 😳 😐 is like I don't know what is happening.. is the refrigerator cooking for them or how ? 🤔 🤣
@@jeanmader2302 I think they were bought out and discontinued. But they used make a nice fridge. I had one for many years until I decided to “upgrade”. Sad part is it still ran great when I sold it:)
Samsung is first... hahahahaha. What a joke. Complete trash. And Kitchenaid too, will need repairs within the the first 2-3 years for sure. Both are junk.
I never saw a Toshiba in the store, but I may today. It is 5: 58 a.m. The dog and husband are still asleep. My husband and dog both have issues, and I feel I am fighting this whole mess with one arm tied up. LOL Making all these decisions, and fighting with companies who KNOW they are w r o n g !
I thought someone got the heck and would tell us the truth of which refrigerator brands are reliable but after the first two brands, man!! it's downhill from there! IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHICH APPLIANCE BRAND IS BEST, WATCH THIS VIDEO UP TO 2:53. DONT WATCH ANY MORE BS AFTER THAT PERIOD!!!
I want to see that unenlightened woman weeks or months from now. I feel like buying her some bins and ice for her Champaign...she will need a drink. Or five!!!!
Yes this comment is being left on as many videos as I can. As I write this I have ice chests full of food because our LG refrigerator compressor is out. LG knows about it and there are settled class action lawsuits against them. Bought in 2018. I had an LG dishwasher that I had to replace, also bought in 2018. It cost me thousands of dollars to bring this information to you. DO NOT BUY LG APPLIANCES. You are welcome.
No, No, No LG for me. My LG croaked, and everything thawed...No one works on L G in my phone calls, Not even the company that LG directed me to call...They said if it was a cooling issue they wouldn't fix it, so we are living out of bins of ice because MOST refrigerators are having many issues, and there are lawsuits against Whirlpool, and Samsung. The French doors in many go kaput, so that is out for me. Also the ice makers have poor insulation in some. I am choosing a flat front, for now. I will have to be careful with bells and whistles that don't whistle or ring.
@Jean Mader. That's such a shame you're stuck in a big pickle like that. You should get a simple fridge that's made in Japan. Panasonic, Hitachi, and Mitsubishi make excellent fridges that are made in Japan. If you can't get a hold of those brands, check out some Sharp and Toshiba ones too. I highly recommend the first three brands though. Good luck!
@@mrgurulittle7000 I do think Japanese quality is better, because It's the bad parts that companies here are using, to cut THEIR costs at, our expense. Thank you for the information. Today is fridge shopping day, and I will wear my favorite brown boots for good luck. LOL
@@mrgurulittle7000 Had to make a quick decision, as my ice was melting, bought 3 more bags....decided on a whirlpool, NO frills little gem...plenty of room, but a bit narrower, and shorter than the elephant. I feel good about the purchase, and the young salesman was a jewel. No pressure. He knew I did my homework. The delivery is on Wednesday. I will be eager to see the L go, but I want my husband to take out the lights, and I wonder if anyone will be able to use the other parts. Many people come around for items we leave by the mailbox.., so we put items out for them. Some are hobbyists. Thank you all for the input, and good wishes. Now, I must concentrate on my husband, who is learning dish network, since I ditched our cable company for tv.
LG is one of the worst brand in the industry including customer service. I bought this expensive LG fridge and it started making rattling sound within a month. I called their customer few times and they didn’t help. so you have to remove all food and let it de-ice for 24-36 hours. Then wipe water from the floor and inside fridge. Then it works for six months and you have to repeat the de-ice steps. How it made it to ??
Expensive junk.....no matter what brand....per the appliance repair man....very discouraging....i see compressors failing on the reviews after a few months. Its terrible.
@@cgoody9913 the repair man told me my best bet is to buy only GE or Whirlppol . He couldn't replace my compressor with a reliable one to save my 10 yr old fridge.(90 day warranty) they can put a man on the moon in 1969, but they can't make a decent compressor? LOL !
