Nice year end video! I actually just got into EDC gear this year and fell in love with Bellroy products despite their over the top price tags. Currently running the Bellroy Classic 7L sling for day to day trips to carry my iPad Mini while I use the Bellroy Transit Workpack for working in the office. I actually also have the larger Tomtoc 9L sling for when I want to bring my Airpods Max but I find the vertical orientation pretty terrible for grab n go while wearing it so I was thinking of just getting the Bellroy Venture Sling 9L for that use case instead.😊

Thank you for watching! EDC focusing on bags was a very 2023 thing for me too! Based on available reviews, I think Bellroy Transit Workpack has all the essential features for an office day pack, but I still find it hard to justify the price. I'm getting the Alpaka Elements Backpack Pro as my first aussie designed backpack and I'll review that one soon! Agree on the UX issues of the Tomtoc slings. Maybe that's why Alpaka made their own case for big headphones that also has a spot for an ipad mini and can be turned into a sling. I'm curious about their Bravo line of slings too that's large enough for a laptop and headphones.

@@shanebellareI was actually thinking of the Alpaka Elements Backpack Pro as well but what sealed the deal for me was the 2 easy access hidden sidepockets of the Bellroy Transit Workpack. This where I usually put my wallet, airpods and other critical valuables. As such I was willing to pay a premium for security. I actually also have the Alpaka Headphones case. It’s a great headphone/iPad Mini/Tech case or Desk Caddy. While you can use it as a sling, I find it a bit uncomfortable to do so since it’s quite bulky for its size 😅

Quick access pockets on the sides are really useful! I have something similar from a small camera backpack from Japan called Elecom Off Toco that I also frequently use. Good insight on the Alpaka headphones case, that it is too large for a sling. But just the right size to safely carry your headphones in your backpack. :)

Great review and I agree with you regarding the missing hidden pocket of Bellroy. :) I plan to replace my Aer Day Sling 2 but I haven't found any sling that would give me the same features. Hoping next year they will release something.

Thank you for the support! I think the smaller 4L Tomtoc Urban Sling might have similar features to the Aer Day Sling 2 :) Alpaka's Go Slings are good alternatives too!

Bellroy makes good products - regarding the back zippered pocket, I hope they’ll introduce it in their next edition of the Venture series :)

Bro! After the two comparison videos that I’m planning to do with this Aer , I’ll return this already to the owner. For larger slings, I like using my 7L Tomtoc more.
