That Tacoma at the end was trying to get stuck. It was a demonstration of Toyota's new Crawl Control system. In the full video it is able to recover from the holes it is in.

Your right Mike, the numbers do indicate that most of the trucks and SUVs in England are diesel, but since this video was posted to the world wide web maybe it would have been better to use a world wide prospective. Believe it or not, not everybody lives where u do. There for, your opinion is just that, an opinion. Everywhere in the world except for the US diesels are incredibly common. All across Europe, Africa, South America, and Asia Diesels are quite common. The US is backwards in this respect. Besides I live in the United States, and own a gas truck so I don't know what you meant by the "not everyone lives where you do" statement. Literally everywhere but the US diesels are common.

Front mounted hitch receiver. Extremely useful as a recovery point, possible winch mount, and moving trailers in tight spaces. It also makes backing a trailer easy.

Diesels are much more common in britain, but they are small 4 cylinder/low output options. Good on gas and fine for most applications, but you won't find a 6.7 cummins or 7.3 powerstroke over there. No real big/powerful motors like that.

Radu Cel Mare Radu Cel Mare cel mai prost diesel este 2.0 TDI. Are probleme cu injectoarele, consuma ulei, etc. O avut un prieten motoru' ala pe A6 C6, si mașină a fost mai mult în service. Si dieselu' ala de la BMW de 136 de cp nu e prea bun. Cel de 150 de cp e destul de ok, dar dacă pică turbo îți scoate din buzunar vreo 1.000 de lei. 1.9 TDI 116 CP sau 90 sunt ok. Iar la BMW cel de 150 CP e ok si el. Dar eu as merge spre un benzinar la BMW...

Diesel PRO: Consum mic, faci economie. CONTRA: Face ca un tractor pe unele masini (la BMW sună asa ca sunetul e dat prin boxe), dacă pică turbo, trebuie să scoți 1000 de lei din buzunar, unele motoare au probleme cu injectoarele, performante mai slabe ca dieselu'. Benzina PRO: E mai agila, mai plăcută la condus, mai performanta, în oraș e mai bun ca dieselu'. CONTRA: Consuma mai mult ca dieselu'.

Radu Cel Mare singurul avantaj al dieselului este ca treci mai puțin la peco, dar dacă calculezi costul pieselor de la diesel ieși mai scump cu dieselu'. La benzina nu pica turbo, nu ai așa multe probleme.

If you're driving in mud (or, as demonstrated by the red Toyota in this video, gravel), a bumper and winch are pretty important. If you don't have a winch, at least have tow hooks so someone else can pull you out.

1.cold air intake 2. Performance intake manifold 3. Leveling kit minimum, all trucks should atleast be level from the factory 4. I agree with a less restrictive exhaust 5. Tool box, must contain a huge 1/2 inch breaker bar and some impact sockets. 6. If you like mud get a snorkel kit and a winch

Have a 3'' suspension lift and 3 inch boy lift in my '08 Nissan frontier Nismo Edition and the truck is just about unstoppable with the differential lock on! 6 inch pro Comp lift and a Max Energy programmer on my '04 Titan sitting on 35's and she is a beast!!

If you go off-roading a lot: A winch and a snorkel. Also, maybe a small sticker in the interior reminding you how deep a body of water can be to still be okay to drive through.

Well i started with tires first, which is very important for a pick up owner. Secondly, would gone with the lightning mode in order to light up during camping. Finally, the cat back that would helps to increase more for it.

You need a cold air intake for that performance exhaust. The more air you have the more power and fuel economy you can get. I got a F-150 and it improved the mpg by 5 miles.

After a restoration and getting the truck running again... probably wheels/tires similar to what was factory, replace the steel flat bed with an aluminum one, and a turbo kit. It won't be a daily driver, but I need it to be work friendly.

I would first start by adding a Dual nozzle Bidet to my toilet. This would be a must upgrade for any bathroom. That way I can get an oriental tongue message while watching videos on my cell phone like this one.

Discovery Tyres, Flowmaster 40 dual exhaust, and some tow straps for winter bling. I live in Vt, snow and ice are common. I am thinking i might add a push bar and big winch for added off road security. Maybe my 2002 dakota will get some new upgrades next year...

First off, you should of showed all of the Tacoma at the end, it gets out easily. Second, body protection, i.e. sliders, better bumpers, skid plate, ect. are defiantly before you 2&3. Along with, a lift kit, recovery tools (tire puncture kit, air compressor, tow strap, jumper cable), should of at least had a mention.

LOL. That Tacoma in the end dug in intentionally. It was an official Toyota video about the truck freeing itself without any driver input other than accelerator, so they intentionally bogged it down, and then just hit the accelerator with the module on and poof it got itself out.

Wow. These are minor annoyances we here in the States have been overcoming since the 70's. Maybe even earlier. Not to mention that our innovations have been the catalyst for innovative mods such as the "snorkel"(added to the Jeep Willys) to adding turbos to both the gas as well as diesel tuning kits. I personally own a diesel tuck that can go from producing 1400 AWHP to pulling 4500 lbs at the push of a single button.

Biggest power gain for the money is electric fans. Gets rid of the parasitic belt driven fan and can give big gains at the wheels. Exhaust after that.

That was intentional. The Toyota Tacoma in the video is equipped with CRAWL control, designed to climb itself out of soft ground when it gets stuck. The guy in the video was intentionally getting the vehicle stuck to demonstrate the feature.

You can stop watching at :06 - that is when they spell "Tires" as "Tyres". A truck MOD is generally considered something that is an ADD-ON that wasn't there on the original, not just a simple change. In that sense, tires are not a mod... You can change tires, but I am pretty sure you can run without a modification. I don't think I can run without tires.

Theirs one you missed you gotta stop a truck this size becauseyrucks usually weigh over 4000 lbs so you need a spoiler wing like a veyron to slow it down especially doing a lot of high speed stops in a ford abt lightning ram srt10, Chevy 454 as or Chevy Silverado as, or ford f150 tremor. Or any truck that can do 100 mph

over the years i have ran 1 dual exhaust system from aftermarket headers to glass pack mufflers to tailpipes, 2 individual pipes & mufflers, (5.0 v-8 ford) then in later years, 1 cat back system on a 5.3 chevy. in neither case was my gas mileage or power affected in any way. a dyno test could have told about hp realize but if there was an increase, you couldn't feel it. mileage & power, thanks to catbacks, is bullshit.

Did all this the first week I owned my truck except a tuner and headlights. I also added a cold air intake. I still want to tint the front windows but I am too lazy to do that right now. Also in case you were interest just changing out the stock exhaust and adding a flowmaster with 4 inch tips gained my 2 miles per gallon and sounds great.
