Was ice fishing with my buddy and his girls on Lake Clear ON using that exact perch Buckshot from your vid. I explained the jigging action required to Cinda ( 8 year old autistic daughter) and the Garmin chirp I was using. She got right dialed in, knew exactly where the jig was in relation to the bottom and instituted that aggressive jig action you had previously spoken about. 10 minutes later she caught her first Walter!! Her interaction with the Garmin was amazing, only matched by her elation of catching a fish! It was a wonderful moment for all involved. Thanks for all your great videos.

The Swedish pimple! Love it. Just got into ice fishing last year and that was my go lure for panfish. I'm hoping to try some of the bigger sizes for walleye this year. Awesome seeing someone given the pimple some love.

I really enjoy fishing with spoons, and I agree with the your spoon selection. A newer option is the Stingeye from Thundermist lures. Slim profile, comes in gold and silver. Similar to the Swedish Pimple, but the eye at the bottom triggers bites. Great explanation on colors and spoon action.

Great video man you’ve got my sub. I like how thorough you were with explaining the positives of the lure it self but also how to really use the lure to get the most action out of it 👍🏼 For the buckshot fire tiger spoon is 3/8 Oz a good size or go for the one you suggestion?
@NickLindner
@NickLindner 3 года назад
I think that would be acceptable. It's a big one, but you can go fairly large on the Buckshots

Love the videos. I am very new to ice fishing and walleye fishing in general. This video had some great info. Would you consider doing a beginners video on “jigging” for ice fishing that shows how to jig the rod and what the corresponding action of the lure looks like? A lot of the videos on YT seem to make the assumption that a viewer has some basic knowledge or exposure. I like your teaching style and think you could do a great job helping those of us just getting started in ice / walleye fishing.

This was a goodie man..!! The tank footage is great.. old baits, new baits, something ive never seen.. it really does remind me of the episodes i used to watch when i was a kid.. in the sense that this is a fishing video first.. there is soooo much crap on here, which can be entertaining and i enjoy at times.. but for actual learning about fishing, you are near the top for your generation..! Any knowledge of Saginaw Bay in MI where im at..? Lots of people talk about walleye fishing being pretty good.. its by a lot of industrial areas and factories, see signs talking about being careful how much fish you eat from the waters etc.. plenty of people eat fish from there, kind of makes me nervous though lol
@NickLindner
@NickLindner 3 года назад
That's the goal with this channel - fishing first! Thanks for the message. I still haven't fished the Saginaw Bay area yet (one day). I personally avoid eating fish if it doesn't come from really clean water away from pollution and industry. They absorb way too much of their surroundings.
@SenorPussface
@SenorPussface 3 года назад
@@NickLindner its a weird one.. there are signs posted all over letting people know they shouldnt eat too much of species x,y,z.. conversation on Facebook last season, all different opinions.. most guys that eat the walleye from the area feel that the fish dont "live" in the waters that are a concern; they are just on the move thru the bay and parts that have signs posted.. curious your thoughts on this..? Am envisioning a "Ask the Pros" question haha

Great & imformative video,Thanks for sharing. What size snap do you use or recommend all around for spoons? Is there any spoon you don't use them or wouldn't recommend using them on? As well for the swedish pimples,Do you use or recommend the single hook? Or Trebble hook? Thanks in advance.

Hey Ron, sorry it took me a million years to reply. Just getting through some old comments now. I'll use a #0 snap usually and for the pimples, I'd just recommend using treble

Is there a way to try and chat with you when you have a free minute..? Tried finding you to msg you on other socials, but man no profiles come up..! I went thru links on here, and then to search and nothing..! Have an idea for an article or video etc that im really interested in your opinion and the opinion of the people you may have access to.. briefly Technology (livescope/panoptix specifically) and how people feel about them.. a controversial subject, a facebook post sparked it lol anyways, would love a chance to get your thoughts not just on how to go about presenting an article or video, but your genuine feelings on the topic as well.. would love to hear what the different generations think and how they feel.. (Genz, your family, the legends, guys who fished without flashers) (Jason Mitchell, Roach, all the guys of that generation) and (yours as well) on the tech and how it will affect/effect the fishing quality and fishing industry as a whole.. hope to hear from you, tight lines and stay safe..!
