What are some mistakes you have made in Next.js? Let’s share it with others so we can all learn! Also if you like this video then please hit like so I know you enjoy this type of content :)
Hey Ankita. Your videos are good. It'll take time to build your audience and grow your channel. Keep adding this kind of stuff, not just of JS but different frameworks and languages as well. Good Job :)
Great video!! That last one always confuses me, like: I want to use redux, context, or anything that uses a provider that runs in the client, and i go there and wrap my RootLayout with it, is my entire application bundled and sent to the client?
yes unfortunately but if you use the children pattern then it won't be a client component. An easy way to check if you are doing that is by heading to the webpack internal like I show you and see which code is going to be sent to the client. Now, if you are making root layout as "use client" then this means, you need to use the children pattern!
I think its just slow in general. I was gonna convert a client app from vuejs to nextjs but after just doing a demo and creating some of the pages, my vue 3/ not nuxt 3 app is much much faster. I wanted to start another app for my friends towing business in nextjs but i might just use plain react with vite. As im building more apps for local companies im starting to get the feeling that a lot of these meta-frameworks are great when you have a zillion users but for me, working with local businesses and how slow this version is Ill stick to react or vue for now. People get lost in lighthouse scores and benchmarks but try those when they are in production. Totally different ball game 😉
In next js application I am facing issue i next/link. It work perfectly in development mode but in production it reloads the website when click on next/link .
