You may want to look into “dark academia.” I’m not sure if its actually a proper genre, but it sounds like something you might like, and its definitely the season for dark academia vibes

Definitely recommend just going through your library. And if you like ebooks, download Libby. Sure, you may have a wait period for some books, but you aren’t paying for anything so it’s okay to wait for some things.

Sabrina Nielsen it's not unusual. I have same situation. There's a library in my place but it doesn't have any English literature books. I always have to buy books if I wanna read in English.

I read the ember in the ashes after a 8 month long reading slump because of your reread vlog and absolutely loved it and then proceeded to read the other two books in the series and ended up crying at 1 am. Needless to say, I absolutely love you and your videos.❤️

I've read If We Were Villains a couple weeks ago and I LOVED it, I couldn't but it down and finished it in a couple of hours. I'm 100% sure you're going to love it. Is definitely one of my favorite books of this year. And if you're investing, I totally recommend the audiobook:)

I think it’s interesting that Frozen is considered a “classic” fairy tale when it is a Disney original, based on the Snow Queen. So, it’s a twist on a pre-existing twist

I totally agree with the comeback of vampires!! And I LOVE interview with the vampire. The book is amazing! It’s also a super long series! You’ll have a lot to choose from! It’s all really fun, but interview with a vampire is probably my favorite.

I read The Beautiful already and really loved it. Definitely gave me Interview with the Vampire feels as I was reading it. Renee has such a gorgeous writing style. I don't think the book will be for everyone, especially if they are expecting the same kinds of vampire books that were popular around the Twilight era. This is a totally different vibe and I am here for it!

Hey, I’m reading spooky/scary books too! I just started Mr. Mercedes, Interview with a Vampire, Something Wicked This Way Comes, Anna Dressed in Blood, and finally Horns. I’ve been reading a lot of Joe Hill lately. If We Were Villains was alright. I mean, it’s no Secret History but it was still a very fun read. I think Drama/theater students/fans would definitely enjoy it.

I'm reading it now and honestly I think it's good but not great. That being said I read mostly adult lit and memoirs so this just reads a little young to me even with the heavier subject matter. I'm keeping g an open mind though because I'm only 100 pages in. Happy reading.

I literally finished Serpent and Dove today and it’s amazing!!!! So so good!!! I hate that I have to wait till August next year for the sequel becoz it ended on such a cliff hanger🥺. But do not be deterred by that, it was absolutely incredible!

Since I've read If We Were Liars earlier this year (after seeing V.E. Schwab recommend it!!!) I am so excited whenever I see people picking it up! While I did guess who did it, the book was such a wild ride! I love the characters and I love the setting and the writing and the themes and ugh! More people...actually EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THIS BOOK! IT'S SO GREAT!

The Toll and Starsight. Those are two of the most anticipated books for me. For you, you need to read Serpent & Dove, it’s fantastic. I really enjoyed it.

I listened to the audiobook for If We Were Villains at the beginning of the month and absolutely loved it! I own Serpent & Dove, The Beautiful, and Ninth House and I’m hoping to get to them soon! I’m also interested in reading The Starless Sea because you talk so highly of Erin Morgenstern’s writing (I still really need to read The Night Circus as well🤭). The 2 books that I really need to get to though are Wayward Son and Call Down the Hawk! Those two are my most anticipated books of the year!

AHHH you always pick such magical books!! I'm so so excited for The Starless Sea! I heard recently that Erin Morgenstern is doing an event in Bath, and I think a band called The Bookshop Band is performing a few songs they have written about the book! They have their music up online and it sounds soooo pretty, I hope they release the songs they'll be playing! XD

So excited for spooky season! I've never read Steven King before, so I'm diving headlong into his books. I found and saved all the books you mentioned here on Goodreads. I, like everyone else during that time, was a die hard twilight fan girl. I still am secretly. I’m from New Orleans and it’s sooooo hard finding romances or ANY book based on my hometown. Soooo I’m literally worshipping the ground you walk on for finding a book that not only has Vampire Romance, but also based in my hometown.... I love you foreverr!!!😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
